Your Saturn return occurs when Saturn returns to the place it was when you were born. This means, you've experienced a Saturn transit through all the signs and all the houses in your chart. It marks you as an astrological adult.
What did you learn from your Saturn return and how did you feel about it?
I'll address this!
At the time of my first Saturn return, I realized I was really and truly, alone. It was very stark. I had one friend I was in contact with (Ben).
I went to therapy throughout the entire period...thank God. Had I not made that investment, I would never be able be able to do what I do.
I guess you could say I was shattered but the piece slowly came together. I wouldn't have to relive even one second of it. Ugh.
During the first one, I realized the guy I was with would never commit and that I had a habit of choosing that type of guy. I also went into therapy. I dug around my upbringing and my Sag/Cap nature for quite a bit of time and found a different kind of guy a few years later.
I left one boyfriend and immediately got into a relationship with a new one, which lasted for 2 1/2 years. It cracked me wide open and altered the course of my life -- psychologically speaking. I was also undergoing a Neptune transit through my first house. There were lots of things that I thought I was, that I am not, any longer. I can't state how much more of an actual person I am now!
And yes it was painful, but what's scarier is the thought of not having made any of these revelations
That time is finite and a lot of it was behind me. That I was going to be very restricted going forward - that was probably the hardest thing because I always loved my freedom. Now I live within the structure/restrictions quite well.
I learned to control my emotions and that a healthy outlet for them is through journaling. Thank fuck for neurotherapy and my therapist's suggestion that I journal. It was how I was able to heal from a nervous breakdown I had a few months after my dad died.
I also learned how to be more communicative in all my relationships whether it's my friendships, professional ones, or familial ones. Open and honest communication is important. I recently started being more vocal when someone I'm close with has hurt my feelings and they're actually opening up to me a bit, which has surprised me.
I have Saturn in Capricorn in the 3rd house.
