scorpio belt buckle

I came across this picture... like a flashback.

If you lived in Arizona in the 1980's, you'd have seen people wearing these.

No clue what this thread is about. Post what comes to mind...

Oh!  "Vintage astrology"!

I mentioned colliding with a gal who knew my family when I still lived at home. I was 12-14 years old. She was into astrology. My sister and I got into it when we were 8 and 10 years old so this was super cool.

Anyway, she had an ephemeris... we did not! We had to borrow books from the library, which of course needed to be returned.

In whatever case, this gal would sit at the kitchen table and read our "charts" via her ephemeris; while smoking unfiltered cigarettes!

Your turn!

Is that a belt buckle?

I don’t have any good vintage astrology stories, sorry. I began learning astrology in 2006. Before I had my birth certificate, I swore I had a Scorpio Moon. I felt like a Scorpio. Really felt like I must have *something* in Scorpio, not just Saturn. Later found out I had Sun and Moon in the 8th which explained a lot.

Yes, its a buckle.

My mother got us to the library, weekly, when we were kids. My sister and I would run to the astro section, pull all books off the shelf, onto the floor. Then we would sit and peruse them and debate which to check out.

One book had an ephemeris in the back. It was usually one of them. We hot to checkout two each. But them we were sick of the ephemeris book, so we'd write down the dates we wanted to look up and just copy in the library. It was exhilarating.

@elsa I bet. When I was a teen, the extent of my astrology study was reading the horoscopes in seventeen magazine.

I did pick up a pattern already by my teens and that was that all my close friend and boyfriends and crushes were born in early November. A few late October’s as well. Somehow I was always shocked when I would discover, yet another Scorpio entered my life. The one I’m married to, born Nov 2, we met when I was 12.
