Obviously for the single population, it's easier to have old/new lovers coming into one's life.

Just got to wondering how Venus retro has gone for anyone who is married / deeply committed relationship.  Any stories to tell?

Following your logic, a couple may reminisce or go over old ground in some way.:)

Yes, I'd say it does. Sometimes we are relating in the here and now...other times our past is very strongly in play.

In aid of thinking about how we're experiencing venusR: it entered the shadow period (when the planet crosses the degree at which it'll later turn direct - 26°55' pisces in this case) on January 30th, for many of us. The main retrograde period will start at 13°9' aries, in early March. It'll continue - to seem to travel backwards - until mid-April.

I put the data in, because I'm wondering how I've experienced other venus retros. So making a bookmark in hopes of remembering to notice, this time.

This time, venus will be visiting longer in my 6th house. Hmm. Wildly guessing: People wanting favours, maybe? Or trying to be helpful? Opportunities for adding household items that are both beautiful & useful? Repairing objects and working relationships? hmmm_gif

I'm sure you already know Poppy that the Venus Rx fall in the same place* every 8 years. So if you look back to same months in 2009, 2001, 1993 and so on ... you may get clues on its effect.

* It actually goes retro/direct about 2degrees earlier each cycle so in 2009 it was about 15Aries - 29Pis ... in 2001 it was 17deg-1degAries ... but the bulk of the retro is over the same degrees.

Off-topic, somewhat: mercury& neptune in aspect, although I did spend many hours reading about venusR (years ago), I had forgotten that until reading your reply, BlueMagoo. Thank you for the neat, concise information!

::mercuryneptune : suddenly the fog parts, revealing a forgotten thing... or it doesn't. haha::

My 7th. There is literally not one man in the world I've already met that I'd want to pop up again. Being very practical here- they weren't that great, and in fact, with my head cleared out the past 2 years, most were really not even someone I'd waste any time with now with their traits in a new person. Every red flag was always there and anyone like that would be automatically disqualified.

So, I don't know what this gets me actually in the 7th. I have very low expectations at this point. (I thank God for my sense of humor!)

BlueMagoo, has that typically been your experience of venusR?

Looking back, thanks to your handy info, for me it's been a time of housekeeping - tidying up - and improvements (6th house) in relationships of all kinds.

Poppy - looking back there've been occasions where Venus Rx has brought new relationships into my life. Never brought anyone back and I've only ever been in a relationship during a couple of them.

So not sure what to make of them.

Hmm. Just now realized there's a vocabulary glitch. I use the word "relationship" for various social contract dealings - friendship; family with whom the connection is real, etc.

Of course those are different from a partnership/sweetheart relationship, but they all use similar, Venusian "muscles," (conjunction to Hephaestus), imo. cool
