Hello,i'm going to start attunement for Usui Reiki levels 1 and 2,does anyone have experience with the healing energy and the techniques of usui reiki?
Yes. My massage therapist uses it on me.
It is amazing. I have to save my money for another session. I posted it here somewhere. I went for a day of deep tissue massage, reflexology, reiki. Talk therapy.

I’m a reiki level one. I love it and think it’s amazing. I use it on myself and my plants and on my clients when I had a massage practice. Many would have helpful visions during that portion. I’ve used on headaches for people with great success. Longer term or chronic pain seems a bit more resistant to it, but I definitely think with regularity it would be more effective, but never really had the opportunity to test that out. Im certain that it couldn’t hurt though. I also think it helped me in many ways as a practitioner, but I learned that I had to really focus on being grounded, before, during and after and always wash my hands (or whole body afterwards). Energy is a tricky thing for me I guess.

I will use reiki for self help,self protection from negative situations or harmful people,for healing of my self on reducing stress,balancing chakras,open roads,break blockages in some areas.
I will definitely continue after level 1 to level 2,if needed 3A too.
Also,i read about other versions such as karuna,archangelic,or other energies such as Johrei.
@libra-noir Can I ask you a question. One time years ago. I was getting some reiki work done on me, after a massage. She took the tip of her pointing finger and placed it in the middle of my scull. Kinda dug it in. And just relaxed it there. At first, I thought how weird….. laying there on the massage table. She was seated at my head. I was laying on my back. Head up to the ceiling. So I relaxed and did my breathing. It seemed like an eternity. It felt like she was pulling energy from the bottom of my feet up to my brain. Man. It began to feel so good. I was thinking- what the heck is happening to me!! I don’t know how to describe it. It was a trip.
So-I knew she would be finishing up soon and I didn’t want her to stop!!! So, I was mentally hoping she would stay longer doing this, because it definitely was doing something amazing to me.
I kept thinking please don’t stop, please don’t stop, please don’t remove your finger.
She doesn’t speak when she does reiki but this time she said, “let me have my finger back”😳😳😳.
As if, my body was resisting her removing it. That has never happened before. It was an experience I’ll definitely never forget or understand. As if my mind or body didn’t want it to end. She mentioned something about a cord that goes from our feet to our head. She said my energy was resisting her ending the session! Has this happened with you and your clients ?
Oh and you used to be a massage therapist?

I took a "universal healing energy" class from a Reiki master a few decades ago. After that I did take a Reiki level I course. There was some repetition. I used it mostly for clearing my energy fields from others. Since I retired I'm not around so many people. So I've not used it as much.
Level II teaches how to work on others, while level I is for the individual.
However, I was able to pull headaches from people. I found it hard to disengage the energies afterwards though. Perhaps I should have taken level II before attempting its level.
Reiki does appear to open psychic abilities. For some of us.
I don't know which branch of Reiki I was taught.
I will post update after my attunement and will describe the experience,other than that i could explore other healing energies too such as Johrei or other version of Reiki,to use combination of knowledge.
