Pluto in Cap is going to be trining my Virgo Moon (it's about two degrees away right now). What does this entail? I've looked up interps but they're all pretty general and not satisfying.
Have you had this? What happened? What was your experience?
I had Pluto trine my Moon late in 2008. My mother (who is mentally ill) had a breakdown and my sister and I had to go to court to commit her. She becomes extremely verbally abusive when she has an episode, and I have always struggled not to take her behavior personally. I finally grew out of internalizing her abuse and threats during this transit. I saw them for what they were--symptoms of an unbalanced brain. After she recovered, I was able to express the hurt I felt, and she apologized, and I released a lot of my old resentments.
It can be a great transit for emotional growth, but you have to be very, very careful you don't abuse the power you'll gain. Since it's the trine you'll be experiencing (rather than the square), I'd guess any of the consequences you may feel if you do abuse your power will be subtle and internal rather than devastating and obvious, but don't use that as an excuse. Your intuition will tell you if you're doing something shady. Listen to it--if it tells you you're going astray, then you are.
Thanks, MagicZara. I have Virgo moon and ascendant and Mars, Jupiter, Vertex and N. Node in Capricorn so I suspect this transit might suckerpunch me. ETA: Natally I have Pluto conjunct Uranus in Libra. Ouch.
My mother hasn't been in my life since I was a young child and I really don't have many female friends, the only thing I can think of is maybe changes in relationships/ home. I'm not really very close with my family either.
I had Pluto trine my moon back in 2010/2011. It was a really intense time in my life, partly due to other transits going on at the same time. But I found it was an amazing time for personal and emotional growth. I found myself dealing with situations that would have been next to impossible without this support. I came through it stronger, for sure, and changed permanently. I was really happy that this came ahead of the Neptune opposition to my Moon, I was better able to handle the Neptunian "fog" thanks to Pluto's strengthening.
I love this transit. Given a choice of having either deep or superficial feelings, I'd go deep, without question!
