@LisaJean I am afraid of this thread.  I have been hearing all of the stories -especially now.  I think we should have had a reset back in ’08 that helped the common man.  I feel as though countries can do the etch-a- sketch when it comes to national debt.

I’m not feeling too fearful of what’s coming, I’m actually more excited about it than fearful, I guess because I see the potential for Karma coming to a lot of bad people. I think one just has to pay close attention to how things are playing out when Saturn and Pluto start heading forward again which happens in October. Wei’ll be able to assess how its unfolding and having our eyes open will enable us to be both mentally and practically prepared for what’s coming.

We have been living with the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in the 2nd house of the chart of the US since the beginning of 2019. It is not exact yet but has so far brought about a destruction and restructuring of US trade policies and monetary relationships with other countries.

The US, Mexico and Canada have renegotiated NAFTA so that it is more fair to all involved. Though NAFTA has not been replaced yet, it is on the horizon. The US is working on a better trade deal with China and Europe and will put a great trade deal in place with the UK once Brexit it finished. The US economy is strong now and its because of a lower corporate tax rate and less regulation. There are a lot of jobs, wages are slowly rising and unemployment is low.

This is all very good for the US, but Europe suffers from slow growth, as does China. They will have to make their own structural changes. I don’t see any kind of sudden crash with economies . The Pluto/Saturn energy changes are slower.

The 2nd house also rules what you value, in this case, what we value as a country. There is a clash of ideologies; socialism vs. capitalism, globalism vs. nationalism, haves vs. have nots. That war is being fought every day in the US and it will continue through at least 2024 when the US has its Pluto return. It is a war that is fought without guns, so far.

October?  When will Libra get a break?  Since 08 things have been bad and I have had some awful birthdays due to personal and broader transits.  I guess I need to just drink myself into a coma.

Seeing people who have exploited others get their due is good, but sometimes suffering can be broad.  I am not prepared for a collapse.  I have so much on my plate since my mom died.  Before she passed and I was caretaking… I am just tired and not ready for more stuff I have to recover from…

I don’t want a collapse either. I don’t want it in 2020, or 2040!

The thing is, I fear that the collective is being dealt a hard lesson soon. When, exactly? Nobody knows. All I know is that we humans aren’t that evolved, or selfless. Sometimes hard times bring people together. I just hope that the hard times don’t last forever, though.

The thing is, the USA’s natal chart, especially its Ascendant sign/birth time has always been debated.

The simplified version is the Sibley chart where America is 12 degrees Sagittarius rising. But today, a lot of astrologers still use the Gemini rising chart.

The four most popular rising signs for America’s chart are…

1. Sagittarius rising.

2. Gemini rising.

3. Scorpio rising.

4. Libra rising.

There’s even debate on whether America is a Sun in Cancer, born on July 4, 1776, or not. Some say America didn’t even begin until 1789. Some say America might be a Sun in Virgo, because we changed our name to America to United States of America in September of 1776. Confused? Just take your pick!

There are a lot of valid and great arguments for what America’s chart is, that’s why making predictions is so hard when it comes to events, places, and countries.

The US economy is strong now and its because of a lower corporate tax rate and less regulation. There are a lot of jobs, wages are slowly rising and unemployment is low.

The economy is weakening on several fronts right now: retail sales, real estate, car purchases, small businesses, etc. The average pre-retirement American is in 9k of debt (aside from their mortgage) and has no savings. The wealth disparity has worsened dramatically in the past decade, and the deficits are spiraling out of control. If our economy were in fact strong, the Federal Reserve would be able to unwind their balance sheet to their promised goal and interest rates would be able to be normalized. But the economy is weakening and that’s why Trump is asking for rate cuts and more QE (ie. emergency measures).  The stock market is in a bubble and needs to be subsidized by easy money policies and the stock market is not a gauge of a strong economy as it was not in early 2008. I don’t know if Pluto and Saturn are going to bring on some sort of economic or stock market crash – that remains to be seen – but I do think we’re likely to see the onset of a painful recession by January that will force some major and realistic reforms in our system.

This is all very good for the US, but Europe suffers from slow growth, as does China. They will have to make their own structural changes. I don’t see any kind of sudden crash with economies . The Pluto/Saturn energy changes are slower.

How do you see the Saturn/Pluto conjunction playing out then? If you understand the powers of these two planets you have to see this as a significant aspect that will one way or the other demand a structural transformation. How do you see this playing out?

I look at my own chart because it will play out individually depending on what it hits and what else is going on at the time (I look at the P Moon a lot lately, too). I have a lot of hard aspects actually ending and the duo moving out of a prominent house. Pluto Saturn are slow changes, evolutionary ones. Things can not continue as they have, collectively or individually in some area/areas of life.

There will be some type of endings  so we might as well prepare for it the best we can. I pray and meditate about what I should do to cooperate w/ Mother Nature (Pluto). I feel suspended in limbo right now. I think this is harder than actually dealing w/ what occurs.

I am heading towards massive devastation. Not a thing I can do but pray and use astrology for clues and to define time frames.

The federal reserve and Congress just approved another debt ceiling.

This spells impending doom.

The dollar has globally been devalued.

Countries scrambling to buy gold.

We have been in a 10yr forced inflation period, something that has never happened.

We in America are in for something very humbling.

War has been America’s business. Throw in indentured servitude as well, cheap labor. Both will drop. The veil will drop.

Greed and more has brought this upon us all, deserving or not.

I have noticed around here that housing is starting to increase by a lot. Also one of our biggest rental property owners {1500} units not including a massive amount of business properties is selling most of his properties and is buying a mansion in France !!!. I think he is getting out of dodge before the big bubble bursts again.

He bought up a lot of the properties during the last recession so I imagine he is buying low and selling high.

I think this will be the second round of lessons for people who did not learn from the beginning of pluto in Capricorn. I can say that I definitely learned not to live beyond my means and that less is more !!!

I’m with you on that Opalina. We don’t allow ourselves credit card debt. If we do spend its for a treat once in a while because sometimes you need a pick me up.

If we did lose it all I am not sure I would care. I have lost it all before more than once….

In 2008 my husband lost his job. They called him while he was on the first vacation he had taken in years to tell him they wiped out his whole department.  I was a little worried about not having health insurance…. but it turned out we didn’t need it. We had no health insurance for almost 3 years. I bought outside life insurance policies so we could take care of each other should that happen and honestly I have no idea why we didn’t already have them separate from our jobs. We are all over that stuff today. We were never big spenders…. living beyond our means, wherever there was cracks in the way we did things, this put us right. I am a money hoarder now. We are savers… now I need to turn my backyard into a place that grows food so I can can it and make sure we are able to feed ourselves. I know how to do it (southern grandmother and too many summers popping beans haha) but in years past I have been too busy to keep the flowers watered. I have time now.

I have followed this too.  I am so saddened by it.  I don’t think we will get any reforms.  We should have had the reforms back in 2008.  Plus I think there is a string of cruelty that runs through many Americans that I am just now realizing.  I think that enough people want to see others suffer.  Can’t pull yourself up by the bootstraps because you have no boots? Your problem to solve.  Got involved with a predatory lender? You should have had a crystal ball to know that the lender was predatory.  This is what I am reading on the internet.  Plus there is a lot of hostility towards political labels.  I have read comments on a board where people are talking about killing “liberals”, “socialists” etc  Like actually killing people over what they think or feel.  Let me go find my relocation thread.
