The Upcoming Pluto-Saturn conjunction Jan 12th

I’m thinking a lot about this upcoming Pluto-Saturn conjunction in Capricorn (exact on Jan 12) and wondering what it will mean for the global economy. I’m into both astrology and economics and on the economic front things do not look good right now all around the world. I think this January may bring a world changing economic crisis, something that will dictate some sort of systemic reset. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Would love to discuss…

War is possible. If so, there will be winners and losers, economically speaking.

The internet seems at risk.  People like me would be instantly, DONE.  The amount havoc it would create is beyond my imagination, but I think it’s possible this could happen.

With the economies of all the developed countries being deeply in debt I think there are going to be a lot of losers from all economic levels, all over the world.

A steady stream of bad economic news has been coming out since the aspect got within ten degree last year. Corporate debt has gotten ridiculously high while revenues are softening and there are many reports that Deutsche Bank is on the edge of collapse. If this happens BofA and Citibank will fall too, if they don’t get another bailout.

For a number of years all the developed nations, especially the US, have been living beyond their means and borrowing from the future.  So, I see Pluto and Saturn coming along like a wrecking ball to clear (or maybe blast) away all that’s unsound about our global systems and then prodding us to live more in keeping with reality. I would imagine with Pluto involved it’s not going to be pleasant. Maybe war will be part of it — I hope not but wars often happen as an outcome of economic crises.

I believe I read someone that last time an aspect like this occurred was at the onset of the Revolutionary War. That’s something interesting to contemplate!

Do y’all think the Great Recession of 2008 ( when our global economy nearly collapsed) could have been a preview of January 2020?

Think about it. Pluto’s already in Capricorn, tearing down structures we thought would be around forever. Now SATURN is joining the party, in CAPRICORN. This is Pluto in Capricorn on steroids. Scared yet?

Lisa Jean, you said Deutsche Bank is about to collapse and I thought of President Trump. If I’m not mistaken, banks stopped lending him money due to his debt load, bankruptcies, etc. Deutsche Bank is the only one left willing to lend to him anymore. If they fail…..hmm.

I also wonder if China will call up our debt at some point. We’re out of money, guys. OUR COUNTRY IS OUT OF MONEY.

(I’m not losing sleep over it at this point, maybe I should be?)

Yes, a preview. A canary in a coalmine.

But then again, life is unpredictable! Nothing might happen.

Remember in 1999, where some people prepared for the end of the world by canning food and water? Yeah, I think right now is a better, more common sense time to do that than in 1999. Maybe even start to grow a garden, or learn gardening.

It could be an assassination of a political figure, not necessarily Trump, but someone in the administration.

If it’s war, let it be the last for a long time to come. Most of the world is sure tired of it.

I’m a bit embarrassed being an American with how those in power annexed thru muscle, many a coup d’etat, finding wars, weapon sales, lobbying, etc.

Ya, the dollar value is down, countries buying gold and shedding US bonds etc.

I hope you all have a community of numerous qualities you belong to.

I don’t think it’s going to be an assassination of someone prominent because what’s coming seems to be more about the global economic system. While assassinations and war are a possibility, I believe this is mainly about economics.

We’re actually in an economic crisis already and have been since Jan 2008 (when Pluto first entered Cap which some astrologers believe was the initiation of this cycle). Jan ’08 brought us the onset of the mortgage & credit crisis but that was dealt with not with a fundamental change of policies but through bailouts — which were like a bandaid. The damage to the economy was covered up by the Federal Reserve and their intensive pumping up of Wall St. and the big banks.  The fundamental problems, in the meantime, have become worse. Our deficits under this present administration have risen a whopping 39% and are projected to rise another 20% next year! The middle class has less money to spend and homelessness continues to rise. The Federal Reserve tried to unwind its bloated balance sheet in the last half of ’18 (Pluto and Saturn in Cap working through Jerome Powell you could say) but it nearly crashed the markets so they called it off much sooner than planned. They are almost out of stimulative tools for dealing with the next crisis, with interest rates still extremely low.  If the Fed does not cut rates this year that will be like Pluto and Saturn reasserting. When they come out of retrograde in October I think we’re going to see what all this is really about. The final months of this year are ones to pay close attention so that we can figure out how to best be prepared.

Thanks so much for the information.

Saturn and Pluto transitting Capricorn also falls into America’s 2nd house, so yeah, it sounds like economics to me!

I just reread and recommend Richard Tarnas’ “Cosmos and Psyche” (2007) chapters that cover the Saturn-Pluto cycle quite well historically, plus the cycle is detailed over the last 100 + years, the 1st World War up to 2020. War and dictators and fascism show up regularly in the cycles.

I’m expecting a lot more displaced and desperate peoples fleeing regimes and having no place to go will escalate and will clash hard with hard-nosed political views, like Trump’s wall and ant-immigration policies.

And besides the Saturn-Pluto-node, there’s Neptune and then Jupiter coming into the fray later in July 2020.

@LisaJean I am afraid of this thread.  I have been hearing all of the stories -especially now.  I think we should have had a reset back in ’08 that helped the common man.  I feel as though countries can do the etch-a- sketch when it comes to national debt.

I am just really concerned about the common person being exploited.  Like predatory lending on all levels (subprime lending is still a thing after 08 and not just for home), suppressed wages, no worker rights, scammy job ads, low wage/low quality jobs, lots of offshoring to keep wages low, automation, gentrification, wealth calcification- concentration at the top, extreme wealth inequality…etc  And yet the cost of everything is rising and it takes so much to live at every stage of life.

I feel like those banks should have failed in 08 and people should have gone to prison. They are still doing the same things the Libor scandal, they have laundered money for cartels, they opened accounts in customers names without their knowledge, subprime car loans, reverse mortgages to steal from the elderly… man I want those people to pay and pay dearly.

@Elsa   I can see that.  Between China, Russia, and Iran who knows?  I think that a lot of lies are being told though.  I also think that war is often used as a distraction (focus rage on an outside enemy) and also in an odd attempt to generate money during economic downturns. I think there will be huge losers and winners.  All I can say is that I can’t be a serf.  🙂

@Laughing Crow    I am not ready for a dictator nor fascism.  I agree with the displaced and desperate people, but I also think they will flee internally as well due to climate change.   What do you think Neptune and Jupiter’s effects will be?

Could it be that Trump has money (2nd house) for the wall (Capricorn)?

Neptune from both the positive; however, I don’t know how the upcoming retrograde is going to work out[ will it hide/mask the effects? or mitigate. The part that scares me is that the Neptune idealism can too easily erupt into something that propels a lot of fanaticism, where people truly believe that they’re right and justified in their actions, when you add Saturn/Pluto to it. A lot of issues (i.e. abortion, immigration) are far too polarized to be defused safely, (imo)

We also have the full moon and summer solstice soon. Plus the current Mars-Saturn-Pluto I can see and hear the effects locally. Arguments, police cars, etc.

Jupiter will bless and amplify all of this whether negative or positive or the shades of grey inbetween.

Thanks Laughing Crow.

I would be so afraid if Neptune hid or distorted….
