The depthness of virgo

I find hard to fully understand the energy of virgo/ sixth house. I have a heavy sixth house and my mom has all her inner planets in virgo. It's an archetype that I feel a lot. I feel huge anxiety, body issues, guilt, an immense desire (even compulsion) towards service, workaholic, etc.

But what is it really about? Almost all descriptions that I've read about virgo/6th are kind of miserable. Altough I do resonate with the feeling of unworthiness and low self-esteem that virgos tend to have, I feel deeply unease when they are define only by that. What's the real depthness of this archetype? How does the healing abilities of virgo's work? I feel that virgos are deeply empathetic- they suffer with all the mess of the world. They want bring something beautiful and pure that will help people in very obvious ways. They are extremely resourceful people- they have many gifts to give to this world that their natural humbleness and shyness tend to hide. They feel responsible for the world, they feel responsible for humanity. As an earth sigh, they have a deep connection to Gaea and ultimately all they want is to heal the planet. My mom used to say, after working 12 hours, "I just want everything to be fine, why can't people be fine?" ....

Another thing: there's some interesting link between virgo and scorpio that is not often talk about. In ancient times, it was only one sign. Virgo is the feminine side of the lord of the underworld, her energy of transformation is all inside her. That can also explain why there's so much anxiety in her inner world. She is literally purifying herself from the inside out, until she can embody the divine consciousness (pisces) . Like scorpios, virgos are natural psychologists (usually, they're their own Freuds). Especially when the archetypes (virgo/scorpio) are working together, immense insights about the human pyche can be reached. Freud, for example, had Pluto in the 6th (virgo and scorpio together).

Anyway, that's just some ideas. I would love to learn more about what's underneath this complex sign

I think Virgo's depth relates to-

A) Service

B) Discretion

C) Planning

D) Unwavering devotion

E) Manifestation of specific goal

F) Sensitivity

I think Virgo is not very different from its opposite sign Pisces, only its experience of its pearls/gifts is on the earthly realm, rather than swirling mistiness of Nepetunian worlds. 🙂

Virgo is a lot like pisces, I think, in the sense that opposites often have a lot in common. Virgo seems more sensitive to the physical world, as opposed to being sensitive to the intangible. Not that virgoes can't be sensitive to feelings and such. Also I'd look for enhanced sensitivity in virgoes with a lot of neptune/pisces.

Scorpio does relate to virgo, I think, in the sense that they're sextiles. I've seen perspehone, the underworld maiden related to virgo, but I think the astrological archetypes are bigger than the greeks' ideas of the gods? Plus I think there are other mythological figures that relate to virgo?

I wouldn't agree that virgoes are always deep psychologically minded types. Though when people pay attention to details of the world around them, their friend's sad eyes, the weird feather stuck in the tree (how did it get there?) they often pick up a lot about the unspoken things going on.

Also, virgos, just like pisces, suffer from a lack of boundaries. They experience the dilemma of others and the problems of the world as their own. Actually, it can be quite intense because they feel that they ARE responsible for fixing and cleaning all the mess, and they can become deeply sick and exhausted if they don't learn to control this intense impulse to offer service and healing. They are always looking to improve themselves, but deep down they do this for others. Sometimes, their service is their own development. In esoteric astrology, virgo is seem as one of the most important signs because her higher destiny is to become the vessel and the incarnation of christ energy on earth. All her craziness for perfection is rooted in the soul desire to prepare the temple (her own body and mind) to incorporate higher energy (pices polarity). So, in a sense, virgos are ultimately looking for spiritual enlightenment ("the absolute perfection"). In a sense, virgo is confronting all her worst pychological garbage so she can "ascend". Again, the anxiety, fear and paranoia of virgo has many layers. She is always being exposed to her own demons.

They're surprisingly intuitive.

I have many virgo friends. Only one is wonderfully deep psychologically.

The others are a big tall glass of water. Usually obsessed with material wealth and earthly stuff. Order of some kind or another. Detail oriented.
