"I'm a little surprised we've had no more volunteers, though... "

I think it's because Scorpio on the Ascendant is generally very private (the rest of the chart might affect this).

As to appearances, a good example is Janet Jackson. To me, she has grown to reflect her Sun, through the lens of her Ascendant more and more with age. The pictures from left to right are: 1980s, 1990s and 2020. This makes sense to me, because some people typically get more comfortable with who they are, their self expression, as they get older. More so for Janet as she has Neptune in the 1st house.

Janet Jackson 1

@osiris-wife I've got to admit, I did start to suspect that, as I didn't feel at all comfortable with putting my photo up, even though I'm not a true Scorpio ASC... just quite Scorpionic in nature.

The shift to the Sun is interesting, as I've noticed the subtle (and even not so subtle) ways people's faces change over time, but I never linked it to the emergence of the Sun... It makes perfect sense though, on reflection.

I'm in two minds. If I start developing horse teeth, a mane down my back and end looking like Mr Ed... I'm not entirely sure I want that look! ?

@osiris-wife There are some things I'm still very private about. I don't like anyone having any pictures of me, or taking any of me for that matter, and I keep my actual emotions and thoughts to myself.

@osiris-wife

I was going to say... she looks Taurus to me. I went and checked and yep.. 😉

I think you might be right about looking more like our sun sign as we age.

Yes, über super private, this rising sign.

I definitely have the Scorpio Rising piercing and 'bed' eyes. Didn't believe it till I saw myself years ago in a family Christmas video - my eyes were seducing the camera and I wasn't even trying.

Funny thing is that when I take the odd selfie I just see sweet Pisces (my Sun) with a little twinkle in the eye but I get that others might mostly see the Scorpio rising.

Just sorta slinking in here while nobody notices, lol. Scorpio rising here, peeking out. I waited a while to get my nerve up, l know it's ridiculous. I have the overwhelming  pleasure of being both very private and shy. Like our friend Justin, l won't  be found on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platforms. Here is the only place l show up. It's just better here.

I have an 8 degree Scorpio ascendant and a Venus/Mars conjunction in my 8th house. My N.N is also in the 8th house. My Sun is in Cancer and to add to the splashing fun my Saturn is in Pisces to complete the water theme.

My eyes are gray/blue/green, it's hard to say, it depends on the light l guess. I do have piercing eyes but l don't

think they are come hither bedroom eyes .l am a bit curvy but not overly so. My hair is dark blonde now turning white with age.l guess I am petite around 5'4". I will add, my feet are extremely narrow, just to see if anyone else also has that to compare.

I have never wanted to be anywhere near the center of attention. Oh yeah, l forgot to say Neptune is in Scorpio. That might have something to do with it. I have always felt invisible anyway. It is both a blessing and a curse in the long run.

I am loyal to a fault, I have given that freely. It has been rare to find that from others though, very rare. I do have that with my wonderful Scorpio Sun/Venus/Mars husband of 35 years. He has never wavered even once in his loyalty to me or our daughters. He is the finest man l know. I got married when l was 20. Who does that? It was a solid decision that l have never regretted.

I just want to say that l love you Scorpio people. You're my people.

PurpleStarGirl , your hair looks good in any and all spectrums of the rainbow!

@ln Thank you!

I'm not sure on narrow feet but I wear a size 8 in womens. My hands are also small as well.

@ln scorpio rising here, too. I have extremely narrow feet! The Tory Burch flats with cinched backs have been lifesavers. I own them in like 8 colors (wait for them to go on sale) and am so grateful to her as a designer to be able to dress up without laces or schoolgirl shoes.

I am also way too shy to post my photo and lurked on here for years before speaking up. I have Facebook but post like once a year now.  I also do not like attention, and my pale skin gets very red sometimes if the spotlight is on me. I'm a late Scorpio rising and have Uranus in Sag in the first, on my south node. I have this perpetual feeling that I don't belong, and try to blend in, but it's tough to get that Uranus to pipe down sometimes. Ugh! Mars/saturn are conjunct in my scorpio 12th, and I have an empty 8th. I replay my actions and cringe all the time, always afraid I have shown too much. Also, I am a distance runner.

@ln  "I got married when l was 20. Who does that? " Someone who's really sound, is my guess. Personally, I think it's lovely when people get married and stay married. I quietly envy it, not in a jealous way, but more of a "awww, I'd love to be in that situation". It's lovely ?

So I did have to ask people what they thought my body type was and apparently I have a pear-shaped body, not the hourglass that is associated with Scorpio ASC women.

In other words, I am a curvy woman.

@purplestargirl Hour Glass, Apple, or Pear, one thing is not in doubt. Women are truly beautiful and far more attractive than any man... especially in their birthday suit! ???

Oooo. I don't have many celebrity crushes but I do have one...

Rachel McAdams...

She's so sweet...

You guessed it...

Scorpio rising.

I'm condemned, as Scorpio risings are those I find the most attractive. The very beautiful Jackie Onassis Kennedy was too.

I did fall in love with a Leo rising once, though... but she had a major Scorpio signature in her chart. I can't escape!

... but I really don't want to either! ?

@jswtrinity It's probably your Venus/Pluto aspect that makes you go wild for Plutonian women. I heard in a man's chart, Venus is what his ideal woman is, Mars in a woman's is her ideal guy. Explains why I prefer Sagittarian qualities in a confident man, I have a Mars in Sagittarius in the 2nd house. Other aspects of my chart also tell what kind of men I prefer but I'm not saying. Lol.

@purplestargirl "Other aspects of my chart also tell me what kind of men I prefer but I'm not saying" Now come on! You can't dangle me with a delicious tit bit like that and leave it hanging! That's almost certifiably cruell lol ?

Yes, I know of the Venus and Mars and what we are supposed to like, but it doesn't work that we'll for me, unless Pluto is clearly giving her (Venus) a poke! ?

MyASC happened to sit on my ex's Venus... and I was smitten.

My Mars trined her ASC... She er... (a gentleman never tells)

My Mars trined her Venus

And her Mars didn't trine sh#t... and certainly not my Venus, as it was out by 2deg to be in true orb

It just had to oppose my Mars and square my Sun and Saturn instead. Ouch! ☹️

@jswtrinity I have a strong Capricorn stellium with Venus in Aquarius. That should give you a hint.

@purplestargirl Say no more! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink! ???

You do make a good point about me going wild for Plutonian women. I knew the square had something to do with it, but it's funny how they would channel their need to feel safe through me, almost as if I was their personal hound from Hell they could unleash at will. And they could, without me really being fully aware that I was reacting to their sense of feeling threatened. It was almost imperceptible, like giving my jumper a bit of a tug to alert me that to the fact that someone was making them feel uncomfortable. That hadn't actually dawned on me until now. ?

@jswtrinity My Sag Sun Irish American friend also has Venus square Pluto (Capricorn squaring Libra) and his Pluto is in his 7th house. I think he has some sort of attraction to Plutonian women. I know he has some minor attraction to me (Scorpio ASC with 1st house Pluto) another friend of ours who has Mars and Venus in Scorpio, and a third lady I know who is a Scorpio Sun. He doesn't act on any of the attraction.

Capricorn by the way is associated with age. And Aquarius likes to be unconventional.

@purplestargirl Yeah, and you're likely to get better looking with age too. I've seen that a lot with planets in Cap! ?

I wonder how different Venus in Aquarius acts to Mars. Is a similar level of the ability to consciously disconnect/detach also present?

?

@jswtrinity I wasn't talking about me. I was referring to the kind of men I like. Age and unconventional are the two key words there.

I can be detached at times and go through life that way. I logically think about my emotions. And I prefer to be friends with someone before thinking about dating them.

@purplestargirl "I wasn't talking about me." ...and I was! ?? Seriously though, I'd already guessed that age would be a factor because of the association with Cap, and I am familiar with Aquarian energy with regards to the unconventional or unique, as both my children have very heavy Aquarian signatures in their charts.

Thanks for confirming the Venus energy. My children's mother had her Mars in Aquarius and she could switch her drives on and off at will, and far more successfully than I ever could. I have to manage mine by redirecting them instead. I admired her ability but I knew it was to do with her Mars' placement. I was intrigued to know if Venus operated in a not too dissimilar way, so thank you ?

@jswtrinity Venus in Aquarius makes unconventional choices in love. That's the basis. I don't feel comfortable being with guys younger than I am. I like older men. It's the Capricorn energy I have.

I have a heavy Aquarius signature too. Aquarius Moon, Venus, North Node, IC plus Sun conj. Uranus and Uranus sextile ASC.

What degree was her Mars? Early or late Aquarius?

@purplestargirl 16 degrees, so in the second decan.

And, yes I can see you are unconventional. I greatly admire it because both my children are and I think it's something to be celebrated. Just looking at your planets there, especially with its ruler domicile, I bet you get a tiny bit of a buzz shocking people too, don't you? ?

@jswtrinity That's the exact degree of my Aquarius North Node. I have the IC at 15 degrees and my North Node at 16 degrees.

And yes, just a bit.

@purplestargirl Interesting ? The only planets I have close to that point are my Moon and Mars making a semi sextile from Pisces and my Jupiter making a sextile from Sag. My NN is 7 degrees Aquarius, in H7.

I really like the casual understatement in response to the question, by the way. That laissez-faire attitude generally tickles me. ?

@purplestargirl Do you know what?

That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. There are quite a few people on here I feel a real affinity with (you included) and, from what I pick up from our writings, is that my planets make aspects with all those I really like and admire. I keep hammering this point, but I feel like I've arrived home on this board. I genuinely feel I am amongst my own kind of people for the first time in my life and I keep wondering, "why the hell wasn't I here much earlier?". Still, time and a place for everything, eh? I know if I ever went for a drink with you, it'd soon turn into a riot! Lol! ?

@purplestargirl "Yeah, shit talking and shenanigans abound. Lol! I'm used to getting shitfaced with a Sagittarius." ????? Only YOU could put it like that! Are you sure you're not Irish, as you're starting to sound like one by the way you write? Actually, I think you could have some Celt ancestry in you...

@jswtrinity I hang out with an Irishman quite a bit. He must be rubbing off on me.

I do have Irish ancestry on both sides as well as a little bit of Welsh. My dad's side of the family has redheads. One of my maternal great great great grandmothers was actually from Dublin. The Celt ancestry could explain my gray eyes and complexion as they (the eye color) are commonly found in Northern Europe, which sometimes includes the British Isles.

@purplestargirl Actually, it's your face that gives it away to me. When I lived in the States, I had a real knack for being able to tell people what their heritage was. I can actually see the Welsh in you, and the Irish, both of which are Celt origin. That marker has persisted with them more than it has the English, who did tend to mix with other nations more. However, in England, it's possible to tell what county some people originate from... just by their face, believe it or not. ?

@jswtrinity Looking Celtic...not the first time I've been told that. People would give items related to Celtic knots and shamrocks because it was somehow me.

In astrocartography, my Moon/Venus DSC lines go through Ireland.

@purplestargirl It is, it's certainly in the look. The Irish, especially the ladies from the south, like Co Cork, have the most hypnotising voices too. I love the soft Irish lilt, it's like listening to Angels talking. It's funny you talk about the Moon Venus DSC lines. I'm currently living very close to my Moon MC and it's been a mixed bag. I love where I live, but I also feel a bit imprisoned by it. I've currently got Neptune over my Moon MC conjunction, so I suspect I'll be staying put until the transit is over. Overall though, it's been very healing. As for your 7H Uranus transit... Something a bit different might be good for you, if change is less difficult for you than it is if you were also a fixed Sun, for example.

@purplestargirl Yes, even more so. I would even guess that it's closer to Northern Ireland rather than the south... but that's only me guessing. Make up free suits you, actually, but I know some Scorpio ASC's like to have a mask on when they are out.

@osiris-wife Lol ? That's about right! It's all down to that pesky Pluto Venus square. The only way I can ever bypass it is by avoiding women born at least 5 years either side of my age. In fact, I was purposefully celibate for a loooong time because when my heart shatters, it's nearly always taken me a great deal of time to properly pick myself up again. This year has been different, as it was coming to a deeper understanding of myself, my unresolved fears and lack of self love that has made all the difference. That was the ultimate gift of theis stellium Hopefully, I've earned a few good karma points along the way, too... ?

Oh, and I really do love Supes. He's all too often accused of being very one dimensional and I believe that is unfair. I always feel people aren't looking deep enough at the battle that has raged within. He, Superman, is the ultimate expression of having won a battle to temper the inner beast. Few people would see it, but that would have been the hardest battle he had to fight to be who he became...
