This aspect fascinates me. I’ll experience it for the first time in my life in 2020.

Does anyone remember the last Saturn-Pluto conjunction in 1982 at 27° Libra? How was it?

Is there a positive flip-side to that pair?

The 1982 conjunction was one degree away from my DSC.

I’d just gone into middle school.  It was a rough and lonely time, but I developed tremendous inner strength.

By the time Pluto crossed my DSC in 1984, I finished 8th grade, went to a new high school (where I did very well), and never saw those kids again.

The 2020 conjunction will be close to Mr. Cap’s Sun and 5H cusp.  He’ll be in college.  He’ll probably find his chosen career (construction engineering) a lot tougher than he thought, but he’ll find the strength to get through.

Is his Sun 5th house side? Because if there’s something validates astrology that is 5th house Capricorn personal planet architechts/construction engineers.

I was 16 years old and I lost my first best friend. I can’t think of a single positive thing. My dad was drinking and cheating on my mom. I hated school.

I was 6-years-old in 1982. When I thought about this, I was thinking, “was this when I got my first Barbie?”. But, apparently, that was in 1981. I think this would have been when my best friends, two sisters, from the other side of the road moved about 3/4 miles away where their parents built a new house. I walked there, by myself, at least twice a month. Later on, cycled. I think our parents must have talked about this, but I don’t remember that happening. An other friend lived half a mile from me. I’d walk to her place, too.  Kids in Nordic Countries do enjoy a certain degree of authonomy still today – American observers tend to notice this -, but I’m not certain if this could be done today.

That said, I think Pluto/Saturn will be very different.  I remember the last Saturn in Capricon well. So, I think that this will will be  a positive transit, for people. I remember the last Saturn transit, with other outer planets there, as a very positive time socially. I was barely a teenager, but seeing  people started climping over Berlin Wall just made the most lasting impression on me.  That was November 9th, 1989, with Saturn almost exactly conjunct Neptune in Capricorn. And then the rapid disintegration of Communist power, finishing in August 1991, when Saturn was in Aquarius, with Baltic States declaring independancy from The Soviet Union.

Well, in 1979 transit Saturn was conjunct my natal Pluto. I was 14. So the years 1979-1982 were challenging. Family problems. Sent to therapy to “fix me”, made a scapegoat, ran away. Saturn Pluto breaks you down while forcing boundaries.

4th side, but close enough that the interpretations of Sun in 4th and 5th fit him.

Facebook’s natal chart has Pluto at 21° Sadge and Saturn is transiting this degree right now. Censorship and control measures that Facebook is introducing probably reflects what the conjunction is about. I’m curious whether they’ve been doing it for a long time now, behind the closed door, but it is exposed and widely discussed this year only, or just recently.

Interestingly enough, Saturn will station direct on that degree in August. It’s staying one month on that degree. That’s awfully long. I’m keeping an eye on news concerning Facebook at that time. I won’t miss it if it goes down. It’s time for an alternative that is not government-infested.

Worst transit of my life. Conj Sun/MC/S Node.

Got me headed where I was supposed to, I guess. 1982-1983 sure was horrible.

Looking at an ephemeris, I believe it happened on my 23rd birthday (November 8).  Life was not good at all for me at the time.  Family problems, relationship problems, money problems.  That day (my solar return?) the Sun was conjunct Venus and Jupiter was in Scorpio, as it is now, but it didn’t seem to benefit me much.  Hope it was a better time for others!

I was not born yet, but I have it in my natal chart. Oh, yeah, reading about it… gives me chills. I do have to prepare, it will hit my 4th house.

I had already been through a Pluto (and Saturn) transit by conjunction through my core stellium (Sun, NN, Mars, Merc) in the first half of Libra.

So when Pluto and Saturn became conjunct at the end of Libra, I was already well versed in both their energies.

Pluto banged me up pretty good (I’ll spare you my long list of accidents, me who had never been accident prone). Meanwhile, Saturn taught me to remain disciplined and mindful of my foundation.

Now is replay time. Pluto is done squaring that very same stellium in Libra (it was a hundredfold worse this time), and getting ready to team up with Saturn once more, this time with my natal Moon in Cancer EXACT in their aim across the chart.

On top of these transits, my natal chart itself is heavily plutonian and has a strong saturnian imprint, so my whole life I have contended pretty much non-stop with these energies.

At this point, I’m pretty much just sitting back and waiting to see what will happen.

I know for a fact, from personal experience, that there is nothing I can do about Pluto’s wrecking ball. It swings and destroys where IT decides. Where I ~do~ have agency is in my use of Saturn. Saturn is my friend and ally in the rebuilding from the ashes, putting up new walls and a new roof and windows on the foundation that Pluto NEVER destroys.

For general info, I was using Astrodienst files to look at the planets for the Children’s Crusade in the Middle Ages and there was a Pluto, Saturn and Mars conjunction when the children were stranded on the shores of the Mediterranean.  This research I did a few years ago so I am leaving out details most likely. Many of the children were sold into slavery.
