Reality of fiction: I know people that others only possibly read about. One example is Jack Fertig. You mentioned him a couple of times on this site. There are others - I even know a guy who was taken hostage once!

Fiction of reality: I've talked to Jack Fertig about deeply personal issues. Religion. Sexuality. But really though, our relationship wasn't deep. Same with the others.

So, to answer the question you asked: what's behind the veil in my life, it's this -- I may appear well-connected and have all these people to count on as friends, but really I don't. Actually that's a self-realization I am having to face now and it makes me blue. Oh well!
