This has been on my mind for the last few days.

Finding concrete help for the North Node, especially the house it sits in the chart, is a struggle for me. I look more at the house placement, by the way, because that's the arena in which you operate while using your North Node energy.

It's like a broken record, the advice out there: "North Node in 10th house. This is about career, your image, your reputation. North Node in 11th..." Yawn. ?

I know what the 10th/Capricorn is. What I want to know is, what do I DO to get there? Take some leadership or management classes? Start polishing up my appearance (makeup, a little jewelry, fix my hair instead of doing the bare minimum)? Learn how to type with my eyes closed??

And Libra North Node. What to do with that? Dress more girly? Take a class on soft skills (people skills)? Study law?

My Virgo planets and Taurus Moon like hands-on, practical solutions. Just telling this 4th house South Node to get out of the house more and stop being so afraid of the big bad world doesn't cut it for me, especially with Pluto tied to North Node while squaring Cancer planets!! Sigh.

Do you have a hard time finding practical advice for your North Node, by sign or house? What solid tips would you give to someone with either your own or someone else's North Node?

I know this is probably not the answer you were looking for. But I'll share how I view the N.Node, perhaps something may resonate with you.

I believe the reason we are living this life is reflected in the N.Node. In so doing, it's a path that takes the entire time we're on earth to fully map out. To know the map is to predict the future - we're not meant to know every step of the future because we're here to experience the future.

As such, the hands-on, practical things we did yesterday, today and will do tomorrow are exactly living the N.Node. Some people's paths are a highway, others more like a dusty country road with many obstacles and other's more like flying without a radar system.

To help us along the way, we have transits that can correct the course when we've veered of plan. We also have Nodal Returns and Inverse Nodal Returns, which are significant milestones on our N.Node path.

N.Node in Libra ... maybe look to what is happening with Venus and the 7th house, aspects, transits, progressions etc.

That said, I'm not sure there is a "solution" to the N.Node, because living is the solution.

Well, I can see where I'm already living out the North Node to some extent--or where I'm overindulging the South Node. But I've read conflicting things online like....

-- If you have Pluto conjunct the North Node, you MUST abandon the South Node traits without delay!

vs. this.....

-- Strive to balance the Nodes. Focusing solely on either one is a recipe for mental illness.

Whaaat???? Okay, balance or North Node only? Sigh.

So yours is in Libra, in the 10th house?

If you're searching for 'how', we would have to know you as a person, individually. Then, we would have to get to the root of your motivations, fears, and why you haven't achieved what you set out to achieved yet. I'm sure you're smart and have achieved things in your life, I'm just talking about the things you haven't achieved yet. Perhaps that is why a reading from Elsa might be beneficial. angel

Sorry if that post went down a rabbit hole. I guess what I'm looking for are simple, practical ways to express the traits of the North Node.

For example, I knew a guy with Pisces North Node who seemed happier when he was perpetually drunk. Not a good way to access Pisces energy! IMO, he would have done better to take up swimming, practice meditation, something like that. When he was sober he would overdo Virgo things and he got grumpy. Work made him grumpy, too.

My mother is a Leo North Node with Uranus also in the sign. When she exercises her artistic side, it keeps her calm and lifts her spirits. She also just bought a really nice electric blue car (Aquarius stellium, baby!) but was afraid to because she was worried that other women would judge her, say she's too old to drive a car that color. My Jupiter in Leo sister had a talk with her about not caring what other people think and I think it helped her make the jump. (Maybe hanging out with people whose Jupiter is in our North Node sign is one way to learn how to work towards it.)

I've thought about getting a reading, just haven't made a decision yet (it's not cheap!).

My North Node is Libra in the 10th house, yes. What complicates it are the ties to Pluto, Midheaven, and Sun, the squares to Mars and Jupiter, and here's the kicker....it's part of a Yod. So do I follow my path (the North Node) or the Finger of God pointjng at the Taurus Moon in 5th? Gah!! ?  You know what, maybe I do need to hand this over to Elsa.
