Pluto transit of Ascendant

Pluto crossed my Ascendant at 15 Cap, then my North Node at 19 Cap, now nuzzling my Chiron at 28 Cap.  In the past year I eliminated all social activities, of course, and find it quite liberating.  Solitude suits me.

I'm still so thankful for my quaint house, my beautiful area, my sleepy Florida town.  So blessed to have made the right choice.  I really did get the gift of a whole new life!

Been getting into more gardening, still lazy, lots of "one of these days" projects are beckoning.  My curiosity keeps me distracted just as it always has since childhood.

Just realized this was my topic post originally nearly six years ago!  And just now reading all the kind and helpful replies -- I probably didn't know to turn on notifications back then!

What a wonderful community. ❤

Great thread.  Pluto will transiting my Ascendant in a couple of years.

How close does Pluto have to get to the Ascendant until I begin to feel the transit?

Pluto has been conjunct my Asc since 2019 and is doing its final return in this retrograde. On July 5th, 2019, I earned my MA after years of struggling and in November that year I started my Ph. D. on a topic which was vastly different than my MA thesis, feeling like that my MA did not reflect me as a person anymore. Furthermore, I got involved in the Postgrad Association, so I felt like speaking up, making my presence known instead of waiting in the sidelines for my turn to speak. The urge for freedom has been appearing a lot since the pandemic occurred, as I felt I really needed to stand by my values, instead of bending over backwards to keep the peace. I'm even thinking of dying my hair blonde (I'm a brunette, but I've had blonde highlights done) and recently found out I'm gonna be an aunt (ironically, transiting Pluto sextiles my sister's late Pisces Asc, which indicates that the change was a long time coming, but it came when she least expected it)!

Aided and abetted by the 2019 Cancer-Capricorn eclipses, my partner (Can Sun/Lib Moon/Cap Asc) got diagnosed with MS and in the beginning of this year, he lost his father who had been bedridden for 2.5 years. In his case, Pluto had been transiting his exact Asc degree from 2015 to 2017, during which time he met me after he was cheated by his ex. Despite the hardships he has endured, he hasn't lost faith, but he is taking now his programming and music careers way more seriously, as he's seeking to become more respectable in these fields.

It's awesome what Pluto can do, indeed.

@canscocappy thank you for this! I have been searching for information from people who have had Pluto cross over their ASC and it be 'empowering' and not 'devastating'... I have 0˚ Aquarius ASC, so Pluto will be there 2023 removed link  I am having some health issues, and my little brother died when Pluto crossed his Capricorn ASC.. I needed to find some more positive examples for my mind to focus on, rather than horrible ones.
