I have this nataly.

I'm studying WWI at the moment. A great doc called, 'They Shall Not Grow Old'. Directed by Peter Jackson

Mars Saturn aspect in any form = warrior

Bruce Lee had also from Scorp to Taurus just like me.
"Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one."

Any other mars/saturn people want to weigh in?

My partner has Mars in early Aries square his Saturn in late Sagittarius. People in this aspect try to find a respectable way of harnessing that warrior energy, and the "soft" aspects mean that they don't feel conflicted in doing so, while the hard ones mean that they feel some kind of repression in doing so.

He's also a guitarist, so I dare you to do this: check the chart of any guitarist, alive or dead, that you know, and you will see Mars-Saturn pop up, indicating this drive. The only guitarist I've found so far that hasn't had this aspect is Jimi Hendrix... always the exception to any kind of rule.

@canscocappy

Slash from Guns N' Roses doesn't have Mars/Saturn either.

@purplestargirl Yep, I noticed that. I will add to those who don't have a Mars-Saturn aspect Zakk Wylde and Gus G.

Mars in Leo on the Midheaven in my chart and it is governed by a Sun Saturn conjunction - a long and successful career building guitars.

Mars and Saturn are great allies - energy harnessed for a purpose. Look at the whole chart to understand how a harnessed Mars enhances your purpose.

My husband has Mars and Saturn in aspect and he was a Green Beret. He is profoundly disciplined, a career soldier.

I also have the planets in aspect; quite wide but still.  My ability to persevere is pronounced.

I heard an astrologer with this aspect refer to the pandemic isolation as “training time.”

@earth-world ::laughs::

I think it's more like "fatten up" time or become slovenly time.

Jeez, being shut in was something that only happened to the most unfortunate among us. There was a show on TV, "mass for shut-ins".

The people who were "shut-in" were terminally ill, mentally ill or profoundly disabled.

Healthy people get up, go outside, move around, interact with others, etc.  Anyone looking for a "discipline" at this time, should try some of that stuff.

@elsa you’re right, the extended isolation was hard on a lot of people, and it still is. We don’t know the long term consequences yet.

I think that astrologer meant what he said in a stoic sense, rather than literally, as in what do you do when your choices are limited? When you find yourself alone in a dark cell, naked, and chained to a wall, what then? I think that’s what he noted was the Mars/Saturn ability to persevere.

I have Mars Saturn conjunct in Scorpio in my 12th house. It opposes my Moon Mercury conjunction in Taurus, so that may add a little flavor here.  I've been a distance runner since I was 11, pushing myself to the point of injury over and over in an effort to get better. When I was 13 I tried running through a femoral stress fracture but my coach called me out for limping and I ended up on crutches for two months. I was very slow to mature, both physically and emotionally, and my family never practiced talking about emotions (though there was a lot of yelling, hitting, no back talk etc.). Two steps forward one step back feels apt for mars saturn. I hate fighting (7th h stellium), which backfires on me bc I will have a disproportionate response to arguing at a certain point bc the anxiety about fighting makes me upset on top of the argument itself (that infamous mars saturn burst). I can be quite stubborn but have incredible focus and drive when others are relying on me (12th h), and put in a ton of effort behind the scenes. I'm still trying to understand my gut feelings; I rationalize situations to try to make logic of them instead of just trusting. I have hidden enemies (family scapegoat, took until after my saturn return to understand that, we are now estranged) and am pretty sensitive to not making more but then those gut feelings can be stronger than my logic.

I'm with Bruce Lee on praying for strength.  My heavy saturn aspects make me look back at my words, my thoughts, my actions, and cringe and feel thankful for what I have learned. It took a long time for me to even start writing here because I will probably see this later and cringe. Scorpio rising tendency for secrecy doesn't help either. Pretty sure people see through to my 12th house much better than me anyway, at least before my saturn return!

I understand. I’m new, hate the way I express myself here because I am young in Astrology.
I have 12th house Saturn 9* conjunct  Moon 11*
& Chiron 7* conjunct Jupiter with this one my Ascendant Pisces 10*.
I have major self esteem issues. I second guess EVERYTHING, every word I say or comment I have typed here.
I have a huge heart and never second guess my work I do to help people.
I want to find connect. I’m just not smart enough in Astrology to understand it here. So, I’ll just keep reading and studying.

@woodenbowl same here regarding sharpening my knowledge of astrology. I've taught myself by reading this blog, looking at my chart and doing internet searches to read different counts of each aspect and reflecting on them.

I had a friend with a Pisces ascendant like you. It was like nobody could really see/get him. For example, guys would hit on him but he was straight. He struggled with self esteem too but I think part of that was due to his huge stellium in Capricorn. He was very hard on himself despite his Leo moon wanting to shine. His Mars is loosely conjunct his Saturn, but he has 6 planets in Capricorn so I never saw that same focus typical of Mars Saturn, although perhaps I just couldn't see him either.
