Mars in Virgo Interpretation

"You are a perfectionist and have high standards for your own work. You often feel that if you want something done right you must do it yourself, for others do not do as thorough a job as you do. Doing a task well is very important to you, and you may labor over minute details that others wouldn't bother with. You strive for accuracy, efficiency, and precision, and you become very irritable when things are not done "right".

On the other hand, you can become so much of a perfectionist and so self-critical that you will not even attempt many activities and projects, feeling that your efforts simply won't be good enough. You are usually modest and realistic in assessing what you can accomplish and, if anything, you underestimate yourself. Of course, practice makes perfect, and if you do apply yourself diligently in some area, you gradually gain self-confidence as you master skills and develop expertise.

You conserve your energy and pace yourself so that you do not waste or diffuse your efforts. An unwillingness to take risks or venture from the beaten track can sometimes limit your opportunities. In short, you may not aim high enough and settle for too little in life. "

I can see these traits in my partner. He is very tenacious and never takes short cuts. I always know that if I get out of my safety zone and do some handy work, it won’t measure up to his standard ..lol. These people are very useful if you are seeking constructive feedback.

Mr Hades is also very good at spotting any piece of Lint (or cats fur), on my outfits before I leave the house 🙂. He is from the Pluto in Virgo generation, and has a stellium in Virgo.

Elsa - all you have written is correct. With my Mars Virgo in the 12th (Pluto precedes it by 5 degrees), I have to fight a tendency towards being a nit-picky perfectionist. One thing you missed out on though is how Mars in Virgo, especially in the 12th - drains physical and mental energy. Other aspects in my chart indicate what should be good physical and mental stamina, but instead any dynamism comes in short bursts, followed by almost debilitating fatigue. Such a placement can be indicative of ME. In my case, inflammatory and auto immune reactions - not specifically ME, seem to be the source of the problem.

Totally true. Have it in my 1H. It was one of the first things an astrologer brought up when I did a reading with her, and the first thing she asked was "how critical are you of yourself." Which I am, and it tends to stop me from putting myself out there -- which is interesting considering my gemini sun 10H wants to be recognized for my work.
