England is an Aries country, so my eye goes to Uranus in the late degrees there. All these unexpected tragedies.

All the reports I've read have really highlighted the above and beyond response of the community, perhaps seen in the Leo-Aquarius lunar nodal axis. The Sun and its domain, Leo, show government, but it's the collective who are governing now...

I'm not that practiced in mundane astrology, if anyone wants to chime in with something that stands out to them. I see a pretty tight grand air trine with Moon, Mercury, Jupiter...

So striking to see a grand trine in a such a tragedy. The response of the people is a beautiful expression of the trine, but my inexperienced eyes don't see anything diabolical happening astrologically to indicate the fire. Mercury square Neptune? Saturn opposite Sun? I hope someone with experience reading mundane event charts chimes in.

Thanks, aspire -- Sun-Saturn opposition is a good catch, tight aspect. Sun on IC, Saturn on MC. I'd consider a structure like that Saturn ruled. Certainly a striking public event (MC) relating to the government (Sun) management of housing resources (4th).

Very, Tam.

They say it may take weeks to fully sweep the building (fires are still erupting, more than 24 hours later) but honestly from what I can tell, there are fewer than 100 in hospital/ who managed to get out, from a building with (the estimate I've read) 400- 600 people. The story is far from being over.

It's the third day since, and still no announced death toll. Astonishing. I'm not sure they'll be able to get an accurate one, as 1) whole families lived there, so who would report them missing, 2) the blaze happened in the middle of the night and reached the top in under an hour, 3) hard to account in records for visitors, subletters, new children...

But there were 120 residential units over 23 floors (fire started on the 4th floor); if we assume 4 people average per unit, we get a base of 480 people inside, well within some estimates I've seen. 30 people are now reported dead (people who perished outside of the building, mostly), with around 30 more in hospital, and 70 'reported missing' (I refer you to point #1 on that -- some of these victims may never be identified, with no one to report them). But honestly I would be shocked if the toll on this doesn't hit easily the low triple digits. No news outlet is really willing to say that yet, though.

Sorry this is kinda grim, but this may be one of Britain's biggest national tragedies, and well worth the study. It's not being talked about quite as much yet, I think because there's no death toll officially reported.

Hard to ignore Saturn/Sun opposition on the MC/IC axis. Saturn is not called the ''greater malefic'' for nothing, he can signify bad luck, struggle, and even death. Also noting Mars (fire) in the 4th house (home) and in the sign of Cancer (home). The tragedy (Saturn) was very public (MC) and broadcast (Sagittarius) around the world.

Mars (fire) is in the 4th house of home. It squares Jupiter, Jupiter squares Pluto and Pluto squares Uranus. It is like a chain reaction where one thing leads to another. The energy of those 4 planets in hard aspects is quite combustible even though they are indirectly working together.

Jupiter is heavily aspected in the chart and it is part of the grand trine with the Moon, Sun and Mercury. Maybe that would represent people coming together to help victims of the tragedy. Also noticeable is that Jupiter is quincunx to Neptune in the 1st house and the aspect is almost exact. The Neptune is also square to Mercury and the Sun. That means to me that details about what really happened will be hard to uncover or will be covered up.

What an awful tragedy.
