Just for fun, thought I'd ask others to take a crack at the Kentucky Derby chart. I just ran it for post time. If you have other ways to "pick a winner" please share! I was reading that you run the chart for Campanus (not the one I posted) and then rotate it until the fifth house cusp makes it's first aspect and that indicates the winner. Any other ways to do this?

A good way to pick a winner is to chart the jockey - he wins the race.

I agree--the jockey is critical. I can never find their birthdays, but I can find the foal date for a horse Smile

Thanks Windsaloft2! I agree Smile The jockey is critical--no female jockeys in this race this year. Hopefully, we will see one soon. No female horses, for that matter either this year. Swiss Skydiver, a filly, won the Preakness 2020 <3

I actually picked the winning horse on a whim after seeing him. I never bet on it, tho. The Derby is a few streets over from where we live. Lol.

Well, it looks like Medina Spirit, the horse that won the KY Derby is now testing positive for anti inflammatory drugs. So, the trainer has been banned from the Derby in future.
