Hello,

Just a random thought here…to anyone of you who went through a spiritual crisis or through a dark night of the soul (healing of your Chiron), did a special friend/mentor with the same Sun sign as your Jupiter natal show up in your life to help you through a life challenge?

This is something I just noticed in my chart…that my friend/mentor has the same Sun sign as my Jupiter. I did not do a synastry to verify aspects that makes one person with the same Jupiter sign your mentor as opposed to another with the same sign who isn’t…I would be curious to see

My friend has a very late degree Sun Sign in Gemini cusp Cancer, exhibits strong Cancerian qualities. My natal Jupiter is in Cancer..

Anyone?astro_w2gw_sara.6254.19941-1.png

Just putting it out there but you may be correct.

Foster carer. I made a Facebook account in 2012 and added her in 2014 1 year after the death of my girl friend and it was the warmest thing…

She’s a Cancer Sun, Scorpio Moon, Gemini Mercury & Mars.

Her chart is easy and her Chiron is in her 7th.

When we spoke she had nothing but positive things to say about me. By contrast i thought the opposite so it brought tears to my eyes that people really love me.

She is 11 years older than me too so we are not too far off each others wavelengths.

My Sun is conjunct Jupiter in Cancer both conjunct Chiron & in the 12th house opposite Saturn in 6th.

Pluto 4th house in Scorpio.

Moon conjunct Mars Taurus in 10th.

Gemini Venus 11th.

Interesting…so my assumption could have validity..

Sorry to hear about the death of your girlfriend…it looks like your Chiron is also in the sign of Cancer…

Since Chiron indicates an event/person that acts as a trigger for a spiritual/emotional crisis, it is very often embodied by a person with the attributes of Chiron itself, I believe..

Was she a Cancer Sun, by any chance?

Yes! Wow, great connection! I’ve written here before about how Gemini shows up for me in dark times!

Too cool, thanks Kisara 🙂

Hehe~~

What about your Chiron, however?

Did the person responsible for the trigger have the same Sun Sign as your Chiron?

Nope, just Jupiter as far as I know. I don’t have their charts, but doing some rough math, I don’t think we share Chiron.

In times of need, it’s the Gemini suns. I have Jupiter in Gemini, natally.

So my assumption on Jupiter seems right, then!

I’d be curious to hear your stories on this matter!

It rings true to me 🙂

I’m still dissecting the most recent occurrence of Jupiter as spiritual mentor, to use your phrase. It was pretty textbook- profound to me, and layered.

I was in high school when Jupiter was last in Scorpio, having a really hard time. One morning, I came to class crying. Class hadn’t yet started, and it was loud with chatting and exuberant teenagers so I was inconspicuous. As I tried to pull it together, my teacher came over, leaned on the table next to me, and looked me in the face. I looked back at him. He asked me how I was and I shrug. Then he asked: You’re not going to off yourself, are you? This made me laugh, and I said no. Though he chuckled along with me, the way he looked at me said: I see you. You exist. You matter.

A dozen years later, Jupiter entered Scorpio again and I returned to his classroom to observe him, as a teacher in training :). Unfortunately, I let a painful ending to a relationship intrefere with my commitments and I fell out of touch with him, my teacher, for a couple weeks. He knew where I worked and stopped by one weekend though many similar stores are much closer to him. We live in a sprawling city and it was 45 minutes out of his way to come to my store (technically different cities). Like twelve years before, I was a bit teary that morning, and we didn’t even have what he said he was looking for. But again, he looked at meaningfully: I see you. You matter to me.

In each of these cases, he was neither patronizing nor invasive. He just saw me, and went out of his way to let me know. I needed it more than I knew. I got back on the ball and finished my professional mentorship with him.

So much of my teaching philosophy comes from being his student at many levels. Yet, he is so much more to me, and I regard his appearance in my life as milestones marking the times when I came close to losing hope, but was saved.

My teacher is Gemini Sun. I am Jupiter in Gemini, ninth house sun.

I have known several Gemini suns whose appearance renewed my hope, but this is such a clear example.

Thank you for letting me share.

Hmmm… I’ve been thinking about it, but for me it’s a bit strange… My Jupiter is in Sagittarius in the third house. The cusp of the house is Scorpio. For me the spiritual mentor role was played by Scorpio Suns + someone with packed eight house in time of extreme crisis/ life challenge moments. They were my saviors. Thank you for starting this topic and make me realize this wink

It seems that our most significant spiritual teacher in times of our crisis are normally older than us by quite a few years..

Since you’ve mentioned about other Gemini Suns uplifting in your time of crisis, were they all younger than you at that time? Perhaps played the role of close friends/mentor as well?

In that case, since you have a Scorpio/Sagitarius cusp in the house where Jupiter lies, it is possible that you will have 2 significant spiritual teachers that will come in your life, or has already come in.

Perhaps for your next life challenge in the process of healing your Chiron fully, one will be a Sagitarius Sun!

In my case, when I had my Chiron crisis, an older woman who had Gemini Sun helped through this. Plus, another one who was an older man of a few years had a very late 29 degree Gemini Sun/cusp Cancer. He did display strong Cancerian qualities as well. If you take a look at my chart, the house of my Jupiter has a Gemini/Cancer cusp to it.

What about Chiron, however? Did the person who’d triggered your crisis had the same Sun Sign as your Chiron??

I’d be curious to know…

This is really interesting assumption/observation. My natal Jupiter is in Capricorn and I must admit I’ve been lucky with my bosses so far. They are almost always a source of inspiration and encouragement. Actually I think I’m falling for my manager.

Yes, one spiritual mentor has already come into my life and left it some years ago. I think we had a karmic relationship. He died immediately after we separated… He had a Virgo Sun. He was both the trigger and the healer of my chirotic crisis. I was unable to recognize it back then. It was after his death when I started seeing and understanding…

My Chiron is in Gemini in the 9th house together with NN. I’ve got a stellium in Sagittarius in the third house, so I’ve always felt a need to grow spiritually, to know myself…

Perhaps for your next life challenge in the process of healing your Chiron fully, one will be a Sagitarius Sun! You made me now curious about this smile

Interestingly though… there is a spiritual master whose books influenced me very much… and he’s a Sagittarius sun.

Thank you very much for the insights smile

Was there a Capricorn Sun who’d helped through a spiritual/healing crisis?

Or if you have two signs on the cusp in the house where Jupiter is?
