It's like the title says. Am noticing a lot of geminis mention how they got diagnosed with ADHD, and I sort of can relate

It doesn't affect my life so much until I have an exam or a boring assignment, I have tried writing what am studying and listening to music. Both have helped immensely but end up wasting a lot of needed time

I need tips on how to handle this distracted energy, I got mars in gemini 🥴

Hey there! My fiancé is Gemini extremo with sun, moon and mercury there and shows these types of characteristics. And I do therapy with kids with ADHD so this is my everyday!

There are studies out there showing that those with ADHD have higher amounts of dopamine transporters in the brain, but less dopamine production.  So these individuals need dopamine-producing activities by the boatload in the short-term and long-term. So checklists for small accomplishments, as well as things like day-long or week-long streaks of whatever it is you're trying to accomplish. Also, set timers for studying and break studying tasks into chunks that you can put on a checklist. There are some apps for productivity that make a little sound when you check the checkbox - I think Wunderlist if one of them.

Wanna know why kids love watching YouTube videos of other kids playing with toys? It increases dopamine levels. Wanna know why we love watching game shows? Watching people making decision after decision and winning increases dopamine levels. Anything addicting will do it too - eating comfort food, sex, gambling.

I would say look to the healthy ways to create more dopamine in the brain - music, exercise, healthy connections with loved ones, funny videos, good books - just more of whatever it is you really, really love 😀 Best of luck with your studies!

PS: my gemini fiancé says that when he started drinking coffee as an adult, it gave him the reverse effect and calmed him down. I hear it's pretty typical for ADHD!

@rapunzelsoldierfish I tried the ( productivity challenge timer). It's really cool, and the more time you put in, you get promoted in rank

I will try your advice about increasing dopamine

Thank you so much ❤

Like most signs, Gemini needs a good career path. Gemini absolutely needs a job that allows them to communicate as much as possible. Enough talking and running around every day to wear them out would be perfect. Even Geminis run out of energy eventually.
