Aries- The hero, the knight, the one that beheads the dragon! Could either be the good guy, or the bad guy.

Taurus- The beautiful ‘Helen of Troy’ type character that all the guys fall head over heels for. The hobbit. The farmer, the digger or excavator. The shopkeeper.

Gemini- The quirky friend, the evil step sister, the sidekick, also the ‘bad’ witch!

Cancer- The hero’s mother, the hero’s aging mother. The baker. Also, like Taurus, the shopkeeper.

Leo- Could be the the King or Queen, but could also be the hero who beheads the dragon. The evil dictator.

Virgo- Damsel in distress, the maid, could be the hero’s sidekick who helps the hero, the librarian who turns hot and is the hero’s lover/sidekick.

Libra- The popular girl,

Scorpio- The detective (who is the good guy) in a murder novel, the healer who heals the injured hero, the evil witch, the abusive stepmother.

Sagittarius- The jester, could be an Indiana Jones type of character.

Capricorn- The evil dictator, the main character who goes through hardship, the old wise man, the old wise woman.

Aquarius- The quirky scientist, the quirky librarian,

Pisces-

Pretty funny!

For Gemini I suggest the elf (Peter Pan style)

For Capricorn an attorney general, a judge, a lawyer, or other law-enforcer

Pisces – hmmm it’s a bit vague (natch). A mermaid?

Gemini could also be the main character. She could be the person who is the narrarator of the story, Mercury thoughts and all!

Oh my gosh, anonymous hermit, I cracked a laugh when I saw you left pisces empty (you’ve said you’re pisces I think.) Great ideas behind the signs!

As a fellow piscean, I completely agree! First thoughts are…blank, hehe.

Satsun, a mermaid? Yes! As a kid Splash and the Little Mermaid were favourite stories. I am quite a feminist (woman) so a part of me (aquarius planets and uranus rising and sun square mars) rejects the archetype and all the rescuing bits…yet I’d watch a mermaid film/movie any time…a core pisces at heart…what can I do? (shoulder shrug)

Gemini – the journalist trying to break some key news or story…would need some virgo or saturn to finish the article though…

or Gossip Girl (the narrator on the tv show)

Virgo – the health inspector, the surveyor, the one who comes to help a village assess something (a problem of some sort) and then make things better with clear and effective planning

Libra – the mediator, the divorce lawyer or the marriage counsellor

Capricorn – everything that Satsun said.

Oh, I was just sleepy and left it blank. That was on accident! Yes, I am a Pisces. Oh, and a mermaid would be great for Pisces!

When I read this topic I instantly thought of Fairy Tales.

I think Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella were Pisces ♓️.

Alice, from Wonderland was definitely an Aquarian aquarius (curiouser and curiouser).

Goldilocks reminds me of Libra ♎️ (beautiful hair, & not too cold, not too hot, it has to be just right; balanced)

The sign Leo, makes me think of The Lion King 🦁.

I read somewhere that the Disney cartoon version of Snow White (the 1930’s film) is a Pisces. The rest of the princesses are up for debate.

There is actually a book sort of like this, The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. This is how she broke her characters down:

  • Te Rau Tauwhare (a greenstone hunter): Aries
  • Charlie Frost (a banker): Taurus
  • Benjamin Lowenthal (a newspaperman): Gemini
  • Edgar Clinch (an hotelier): Cancer
  • Dick Mannering (a goldfields magnate): Leo
  • Quee Long (a goldsmith): Virgo
  • Harald Nilssen (a commission merchant): Libra
  • Joseph Pritchard (a chemist): Scorpio
  • Thomas Balfour (a shipping agent): Sagittarius
  • Aubert Gascoigne (a justice’s clerk): Capricorn
  • Sook Yongsheng (a hatter, a euphemism for someone who digs alone): Aquarius
  • Cowell Devlin (a chaplain): Pisces

Cool! I was pretty sure I was not/am not the first person to have this idea.

I am just talking about archetypes, though, not a whole book. Thanks for this post.
