Few would argue we're not socked in with misinformation. I assume some  or most or many people try to discern the validity of what they come across.  I am not talking about the hot topics in the news, necessarily. It could be astrology info good/bad.

Do you have a process for this?

If so, where is your Mercury and how is it aspected?

Natural skepticism and suspicion drives me to relentlessly dig for details, connections, background.  3rd house Aries Mercury square 12th house Cap Mars.

I try feel things out energetically. I can get a certain vibe/vibration if things lack integrity or may have an ulterior underlying motivation that is destructive. It's not 100% reliable but I practice to improve, it's dependant on keeping a clear heart and mind myself, which is a daily challenge. Mercury is my chart ruler and in Gemini, rules 2 of my angles, it sits high up near my Gemini MC 9th h. It trines Pluto, sextile Venus, opposes Neptune, and squares Moon and Jupiter. That t square gives a lot of conflict and confusion with thinking and feeling clearly so it's a work in progress establishing my own truth. I think the trine to Pluto and the Venus contact is very helpful in this respect.

I am getting better at this all the time. It's because I am trying to get better.

I have learned to spot different kinds of coding. When I see this, I know the source is not to be trusted. It's very empowering. Unfortunately there are very few people who have caught on or even tried.

I don't mean that to be critical of them. This has not been an easy pursuit at all.  You have to learn new languages - yes, more than one.

The downside here is I have to watch people fall for tricks, over and over again.  I can try to tell them but they won't believe me. Neptune.

Very interesting question!

For my part I stay on the surface and don't try to attain "the real truth" - I feel I don have the intellectual capacity and tenacity and anyway, at the outset I lack the motivation. I can be pretty curious about some things, but not others. Mainly I just wait until "truth" comes out - if it ever does.

May I ask (unless this is private) what you mean by "different kinds of coding" ? Does this mean codes of languages/lingos such as political, scientific, philosophical etc. or is it another pattern or constellation of approaches, a personal "system" based on your (large!) experience and research?

The word "code" is pretty mysterious!

@satsun it is mysterious and mindboggling. I am looking at colors, templates, symbols, hands and numbers and a few other things as well.

It's a matter of learning to read code you didn't know existed.  But I'm getting good at it.  Better every day.

This has been a pursuit on the level of the time I really decided to learn astrology. I read every astrology book in print at that time. I went as far as to order books at the library, from all over the country. Books so rare, you had to sit in the library to read them.  They would not let me take them home...

This is happening in my life to the degree. Come to think of it, I started DEEP in astrology pre my Saturn return. Second Saturn return this is it.

Have no doubt. I've gotten this gel (the way astrology does). I am well on my way to becoming an expert or some kind of authority in this realm. I don't care how that sounds. Facts are facts.

This stuff is like astrology, in that you can't believe it works right up until you realize it does!  And then the whole world opens up.
