So good to have the forums back and running! I lurk around these forums at least once a day, for my daily dose of rich perspectives on such raw and fundamental topics, which would literally not even occur to me! ( thank you all 🙂 )
Although, the downtime led me to think deeper about something I have had at the back of my head the last few days:
How am I really using all this real time info astrologywise in my life! Like in the practical way! Whenever I am able to figure what actually is going on, I make it a point to act! I try.
I am spending an unusually longer time reading about astrology; whether its understanding my chart (and hence me) better, transits (prep for them if I can) etc. But I noticed that sometimes I just read stuff for the heck of reading and not really focus on gaining something out of it. I know I can do this better by restarting making notes etc., taking it step by step again.
How do you’ll navigate this? How much time do you’ll spend on reading about astrology to keep tab on current happenings? Are there specific things that you definitely do?
People with experience, can you please share a list? 🙂
( I really hope I explained myself clearly! I am tired, sleepy and in a hurry!)

Astrology changed my life.
I use it in so many ways. I am all about energy. The dogs taught me about energy first.
You know, if you work with animals and come at them from the wrong energy place they will not let you touch them. I had to figure this out quick if I wanted to get anywhere. They know your heart and intentions before you do. And they are so forgiving.
My son the Gemini is HIGH ENERGY but not in the way he is out digging ditches or running marathons. He is high energy TALKING….all the time ….and he will keep talking even if you lay the phone down and walk away….put a casserole in the oven, do a load of laundry….he’s still talking hahahaha you’ve not said a word. And, he doesn’t care. This is a one sided conversation and he has a lot to say.
Moving past that….he really used to like to argue. He has the birth chart of an attorney. That boy needed to go to law school with his Leo asc and Aqua moon. He would have made a good lawyer. At any rate….he would aim that shit at me cos….I am his audience….his fan….call mom and wear her out.
I got to a place where I knew NOT to answer the phone when I was working unless I had to put out a fire because this was going to change my energy completely and I would get nothing done for the rest of the day. A dog is not going to let someone bat shit crazy touch them.
So….when I started to learn about astrology and how to manage energy within transits it made my life 1000% easier. If I knew a shit storm was coming and that the way it was going to hit me could ruin a relationship or my business…..I knew when to hold em, and when to fold em.
I learn more about it every day. I read a lot like you do. I the more I read the better I get. I came to EE from an Elsa video on youtube. This is what I knew. I am a Scorpio sun. That’s it. I knew the newspaper version of astrology.
I learned it all here. Everything I know. I thought it was hard to learn and even after the first year no matter how hard I was trying….it was hard for me. Now….I am learning at the speed of light. And I keep studying. I go back on old posts here. If I want to learn something new I look in the tags….then I may google or ask someone here. Then….I keep reading.
Man, If I had known 35-40 years ago what I know now I would have surely saved myself some wasted time. I love knowing what transits are coming….so I can try to prepare or at least explain it in the form or lessons…..lessons I had to learn.
Nothing could have prepared me for Saturn in Sag. I didn’t see it coming ….at least not in the way it came. I didn’t expect my 2nd Saturn to be so harsh either….but it was. So….I use it for managing energy. I think that is my favorite part. And, it works.

For global and universal energetic readings. I like to know the ‘vibe’ and ‘feelings’ that are going on
in the world. How Pisces is that? Feelings?
I knew that once Uranus went into Aries that it was going to be a wild ride!

For me I use it to understand what I am up against like I have been having t-Saturn squaring my Moon. Terrible! I knew it was coming and when it would peak and I know when it will come to an end. Also as a person with a 4th house Moon the lunar return chart helps me just have a general vibe for the month. Lastly I like to look at where the Moon is daily like when I get up in the morning the Moon will be conjunct my Saturn…boo! So I know I will have a double whammy sad Moon aspect in the morning but I also know that it will be gone by lunch break. I just think that is cool and helps life be more manageable.

Astrology is the greatest tool for spiritual growth – that’s how I use it anyway!
I am a Cap Rising with Saturn/Virgo opposing my Pisces Sun, so I learn the hard way. But: ‘Resistance is futile’. Learning how to embrace the energy of whatever transit rather than resist it – that is the gift that keeps on giving! With such a prominent Saturn, I resist everything – that is my default response to life: oh no! Fear.
Transmuting that fear/resistance into seeing reality – that is how I use astrology. Look right into the eyes of whatever you are resisting. What is the worst. What is the best. What are other ways it might express. Just getting unstuck from ‘oh no’ is so freeing. Knowing astrology allows you to plug in keywords for all the possibilities even if you can’t yet really see them yet.
Every aspect and transit has its scary awful expression and its highest possible. It’s up to us to use that understanding to vision and realize the best possible use of the aspects/transits we are given. Best for us, best for everyone, best for the planet. World peace through astrology!

I’ve always used Astrology for self-help. I keep up on the transits to my natal planets to help me find a positive way to deal with the energy. I’ve become my own psychoanalyst thanks to Astrology. It really helps me understand my feelings. It also helps me understand people I’m close to.
I like to use Astrology for trends and try to use them as positively as I can. It has been a great influence on my life.

Thank you all for your posts! Really appreciate it!
@jofrance I think I am doing the exact same thing. Thank you for putting that in words!
@aspire ‘finding the higher expression everytime!’ Thank you 🙂 Keep tearing through those fears :)!
@Tam ‘knowing when its over’ that surely helps! I can’t yet do tracking the moon thing! Someday maybe! Thank you 🙂
@ anonymoushermit ‘to know the present vibe in the world!’ Hahaha not sure if I can relate right now 🙂 but thank you!
@soup ‘using astrology to manage energy’, 🙂 thank you! I think the ‘pre-empting moves’ and ‘understanding people close to you’ part applies to a lot of us :). ‘Keep reading’ of course!
For me too, astrology helped me become self aware! Not one or two notches, like in a drastic, stark way. I also think I try to make sense of my life happenings through astrology. For eg., my pluto sq sun transit. Reading its purpose and other people’s experiences (some so inspiring) is SO helpful! I can try to make something great out of it!
The part of my question where I ask what specifically people with more experience keep track of, would appreciate any tips :). I think the answers lies in keeping track of transits, solar return, progressed chart! Have to work on the moon stuff. If anyone has any other specific tips, please do share!
