Heterosexual Sexual Synastry

Sexual excitement is said to be at its strongest when the man's Sun, Mars, or Jupiter conjuncts or opposes the woman's, Moon, or Venus.

The closer the orb of aspect, the stronger it is; but it can be felt up to 10 degrees and out of sign aspects will weaken the effect.

For example if a man's Sun, Mars, or Jupiter is in 14 degrees Virgo and a woman's Moon or Venus is between 9 degrees and 19 degrees of Virgo ( conjunction ) or Pisces ( opposition ); then there is a powerful sexual attraction between the two people.

Oppositions between horoscopes are better in sexual synastry because opposites attract.

The Mars - Venus connection is pure sexual attraction.

The Sun - Moon  indicates a more profound connection; it's sexual, but goes much deeper than the Mars - Venus connection.

Note: In the case when the woman's Sun or Mars is conjunct or opposed to the man's Moon or Venus it only indicates that the woman wears the pants in the relationship and has nothing to do with sexual attraction.

I would attribute credit to the author of this piece but cannot find the source.

What I find particularly interesting is the Jupiter connection for sexual attraction; and the authors contention that it is not a sexual connection when the woman's Sun and Mars conjuncts, or opposes, the man's Moon and Venus.

The late astrologer Joan Quigley had this to say:

" Between the sexes, Mars in one horoscope in the same sign as Venus in another is the bond par excellence of physical passion. A man with Mars on a woman's Venus might easily seduce her, while a woman whose Mars is in the same sign as a man's Venus will play the siren with him. This is the kind of relationship that leads to affairs and flirtation rather than to marriage unless there are other more enduring bonds between the two horoscopes."

Reading an excellent article from Dane Rudhyar's archives about oppositions. Makes so much sense, but I was surprised to see Conjunctions relegated yo play second fiddle to Opposition.

....the basic aspect is the opposition. The conjunction is not, then, the first and primary type of astrological relationship — as you cannot divide the circle by one! The conjunction is the last aspect possible. We might say that it is the result of dividing the circle by 360 if we think of a conjunction of two planets as being exact within one degree.

Aspects mean, I said previously, relationship. The first relationship is that in which you suddenly face something: you and that other entity which you do not know but which you must look at and upon which you must pass some kind of judgment. Will it help me or hinder me; is it friend or foe? The result of any such confrontation is awareness. You become aware of what is facing you. Awareness changes into consciousness (from con, together, and scio, to know) when you have established some sort of rapport between the other and you.

Before the confrontation occurred, you were "the whole show." But now a second entity has appeared, to share life with you, and you have to be related to that other. The problems of relatedness are intruding upon your feelings, your thoughts; they will grow ever more complex. The world, once it begins to be divided in two, keeps dividing, just as the fecundated ovum in the mother's womb keeps dividing, each cell becoming two.

“In the beginning was chaos.” Isiodos 850BC

So, are squares, oppositions and inconjunctions merely masterminds of chaos?! I think so.

Say what you will, and I do agree with all of it ....

But if you want to really add the big BANG... talk about Pluto

Pluto moon synastry and Pluto mars....

Add Mars Venus and you have a lifetime of never being able to disconnect

Imagine having not only Venus Mars, but Pluto Mars, Jupiter and Pluto moon.

This is just too much... I believe you can have too much synastry with someone. I have been through it. Poor souls so attracted to each other and the pull so strong if they were together not one thing would get accomplished.
