Well there's your answer! North Node Conjunct Pluto in Scorpio in the 6th! There's an intense drive towards work that involves the deep transmutation and purging of other peoples trauma. Almost shamanic in a way. Thats your life path. 

Edit- also the ruler of your Midheaven (Uranus) is in the 8th House which just heightens those themes. Your very much a healer.

I suppose people will not define themselves as an 'empath' until there are actually vocations doing that. Which is where the term came from for me. (I.e. stories in 'space programmes' where people are trained to perform this role for negotiations etc.)

In my experience, people who are healers by nature have talents targeted to that however, sometimes it might be an empathy like ability or sometimes it is just instinct about others physical conditions.

On therapists as well I am quite sure some are destined to do this. Healers of the energy kind though... These are intense people, no matter how much they hide it.

I have Neptune in Libra in the 1st house conjunct Mars.  I can feel other's pain, but its very draining for me.  In my younger days, there were plenty of takers for someone like me but I stopped being available.  I'm empathetic, but not to the point of a real empath.  I got taken advantage too many times.

I agree, Charpy about Neptune conjunct Ascendant.  They will just merge with the other person.  My sister had that aspect and she always put everyone else's needs before her own.  She was a selfless person.

Good to know someone else feels the same. it is very draining .. I’m beyond drained this week my energy is high but mentally exhausted
