I have this placement.  A lot of people I know with Venus in Virgo are single.

Do we need to lower our standards or does it take time to find the right partner?

Any advice for Venus in Virgo appreciated?

Well, I’m biased. My progressed Venus is now in Virgo and I absolutely love it. I know others with the natal placement who somewhat struggle with it, but it’s been really good for me.

Venus in Virgo has the greatest capacity to choose to love (and not to love). What an incredible thing to have 20/20 vision, in a sea of people wearing rose colored glasses. Virgo knows that simply being in any relationship won’t translate directly to happiness.

Check out your progressed Venus and the aspects she’s making to your natal chart. Progressed Venus in Libra or Scorpio would be inclined to yearn for romance and intimacy.

Thanks, I must check out my progressed chart - I'm sure Venus is in Libra.  Yes, I do yearn for romance.  Also I have a 7th house Venus.

Glad you are enjoying progressed Venus in Virgo so much lol.

I think you are correct - Venus in Virgo chooses carefully. I just feel when I was younger I was too cautious in love.

Sorry, I just realized I don’t have any advice! It sounds off to suggest that someone lower their standards, but it might help to reevaluate your standards. The Virgos/Venus in Virgos I know are really good at updating themselves. New data needs to be integrated. Hope someone else has some better advice for you.

I was the opposite of cautious—lots of big messy love. I really hurt myself doing that.

Oh don't be sorry! Remembering my progressed Venus is in Libra cheered me up. Thanks.

I'm very sorry you really hurt yourself.  Hope you're in a better place now.

My sister was born with 6th house Venus in Virgo retrograde, with Saturn at 29 Libra in the 7th! Since she was the first-born, my mother was very anxious in getting her to get married, but she didn't find a partner to her liking and everyone thought she would end up a "spinster" (I hate these outdated labels!). This changed two years ago, her being 35, when she met her soon-to-be-husband. She was the one that approached him first, and now she announced to us that she's pregnant with their first child!

I think that Venus in Virgo tends to be all about standards, that's why it may seem "unlucky" in love. Not everyone will do. It takes time, but once you find someone you like, you'll know it right away. Remember that nobody is perfect, so it's good not to be blind to your own errors and say "sorry" when it's appropriate. However, let me repeat: You do NOT need to lower your standards, you are already an example of those standards yourself.
