@elsa Thanks. You accomplished something you didn't set out to, I'm sure: you made me laugh! Snapped me right out of the bad place I'd been in all day (and needed to get out of).

For all their screaming for their "right" to "freedom" (liberty!!), so many people are but sheep (following, being influenced -- by choice no less!!). (It's their right and they are free to do so, of course!)

I do not "follow" ANY "influencers". I laugh everytime I see these two words, as a matter of fact.

Uranus chart ruler.

@tango In contrast, I think the word / concept of an "influencer" is exceptionally accurate.  I think of @notmycircus who enjoys youtube makeup wars.  It's deniable, certain people can put lipstick on their face and sell it!

It's always been this way.  People tried to be "June Cleaver" when she was presented as a role model.

Have you seen the series, Nashville? I really think it contributed to the huge influx of people moving to the city.  I think, Grey's Anatomy, influenced many young women to become nurses.  Prior to that show, there was a shortage.  Examples are endless.

"Follow", same thing. It's is the perfect word to describe what people do. They literally click/commit to follow a person. But this is also not new new.  Most of us, especially when we're young, find artists we like - musicians, let's say.  We then purchase everything they create.  We're following them and there is no denying the music we listen to influences us. I stated 20 years ago, I adopted a persona and rules for living straight from a song I liked when I was 19 years old.

Back to qanon, it's clearly popular and at this point, it might be compared to the hydra.  Cut off the head and it grows two more.  When I read the remark that prompted me to start this thread, it was suggested that people were jealous of qanon and it's status as an influencer.

That is an interesting thing to consider. And that is why I started this thread.

@elsaI don’t think they are jealous, I think they are threatened.

I do not, but I hear things. I don’t think it’s total bs, there’s definitely an attempted world takeover by nwo but I also don’t think it should replace ones own critical thinking and intuition. Nothing and noone should replace those.

Reporter: "At the crux of the theory is this belief that you are secretly saving the world from this satanic cult of pedophiles and cannibals. Does that sound like something you are behind....."

Trump:  "Well, I haven't heard that, but....is that supposed to be a bad thing...or a good thing?"

I'm sorry--I just can't. 😂😭
