"You get a buzz out of being good and useful, and take on challenges to support other people in a dynamic, purposeful way. You can get a bit unfocused in your zeal to help out, but because you do everything with heart, you're usually forgiven any blunders or excesses. Beware of a tendency to insist you always know best or to take on too much too soon. A little circumspection and planning go a long way. Sometimes your zest for action can overwhelm less energetic or extroverted folk, but when you go in to fight for somebody's rights you are a dauntless champion, and you're pretty good at fighting your own causes as well! Strongly self-sufficient, you are wonderful at helping other people to build their own independence and confidence, too."

This interpretation is from the Deluxe Asteroid Report.

This is the Ceres sign of a good friend of mine.  It illuminates a question that occurred to me about his trip "home" (his mom's home, in his natal country) last week!  The day before he arrived, his mother was admitted to hospital, and so suddenly the conversations were more heartfelt, and problem-solving in focus.  All in all, the family connected in a closer way through this unexpected event.

Update: he is now back in his own home (his homestead, he said), and today, his mother will be back in her own home, and helpers will be booked.

Tired, and dehydrated, apparently - maybe where her son got the habit of saying, "I don't have time (to stop what he's doing, to eat) I have all these pressing things that no one else is going to do."  confused

Mars in Pisces - the knight in shining armor, of fairy tales - ruler of Aries Ceres - trines his Cancer Sun (in 8th, conjunct Moon & Mercury).  Ceres is the apex of a t-square with Sun and Juno.

So that was the present he brought his mom - his presence in the visits, and in the conversations with his father and brother.  A gift, from his innate gifts.

PS If we have never eaten an omlette of eggs from chickens that live out back of the house, we have noooo idea of the difference... shiny-chicken
