Another News source says 12 possible cases in the US.

Maybe don't eat bats and exotic animals...

I was taught in school that a dog, yes, just a dog, can transfer so many illnesses to humans! This is why I refuse to do a lot of work. Not to mention they pass parasites. I tell everyone to deworm their dog 4x a year - make sure they take monthly heartworm meds that also kill roundworm, hookworm..... but, people won't do it. So, welcome to parasites. The things that a flea or a mosquito can give you is frightening.... (remember the plague) (fleas)

And, Bat soup is the new 'thing' .... eek

People get mad at me when I say.... I can not do that... that meaning...work on their animal that has drainage coming from anywhere, ear infections, fleas, ticks, lice, rashes, fungal infections or overgrowth... I could go on and on. You wouldn't believe the things that folks have tried to get away with. I say....sorry, that is a vet issue. And, off they go to disparage me. Sadly, they set themselves up for so many bacterial and viral infections.

And, Bat soup is the new thing.... shrug_gif

Then, there are the diseases you can get from a cat... it is never ending. I wouldn't work on a cat for one million dollars. I watched a fellow coworker get a thumb amputated from working with a cat.

Around a month, maybe more, a man came in with a dog...he is holding it and telling me it's just a mild rash as he is pointing to the dogs abdomen. I said follow me...and right back out the door we went. I said... that is ringworm. Vet now please. I can not touch it. The spores that fly off ringworm from your animal can get in the Hvac system and just blow all around. It's highly contagious. He was livid. See, people think a bath will get rid of these things and they don't want to pay the vet. Kill me for saying it but.... if you can't afford the vet, please don't get a pet. They have to see the doc just like a child.

A little mutation...and we have crap like this ...and it just spreads person to person. Oh well, we are about due for another pandemic.
