I realized that the new moon this month will fall right on my natal pluto. I did some searching and while I found a lot of info about pluto transits, I couldn’t find anything about transits to natal pluto. I realized that I really don’t know if there is likely any difference between the two (other than duration).
What is likely to be the difference between planet A transiting a natal planet B versus planet B transiting natal planet A? Or is there any?
Wondering in Unknown City
Hi, Wondering. This is a good question because it confuses a lot of people.
When two planets combine in any way, the keywords to describe the mash-up would be the same regardless of which planet was transiting and which was being transited. However we can derive information beyond “keywords” by analyzing a transit.
Your natal chart is a map of you. Think of it as your home. It’s fixed.
The transiting planet is a visitor who comes to the door…or actually penetrates, depending.
Picture it. I’m at home with my dogs. Some Jehovah’s Witnesses come to the door. My dogs start barking. The people on the porch are adding their energy to my natal situation.
These people represent the “transiting planet”. I cannot change the fact they’re at my door, but what happens next depends on how I handle the situation.
Specific to your situation, the moon will sensitize Pluto. You may feel dread, your may feel empowered, you may kill your feelings or whatever it is you do. But what’s being impacted by the transit is your depth / your subconscious / your instincts.
Here’s an example of your transit: a person may want to die. Then something happens and all the sudden, they want to live. They don’t know why. Pluto doesn’t chat much.
