Ready for a weird time? In a good way. This week, Venus in Gemini comes off a conventionally stressful set of aspects and moves through a quincunx with Pluto. It peaks midweek as Mercury moves from Cancer to Leo. The Sun packs in more action as it squares Chiron and sextiles Uranus.
The last few weeks have been intense, but this week is odd. It’s not rough or tough. It’s different. The Moon moves from the end of Pisces, through Aries, and into Taurus. The Sun is in Moon ruled Cancer along with Mars and the north node. It’s the quarter moon this week, midway between the last full moon and the next new moon (an eclipse, a nice one).
We’re in a settling phase, one where we take a look around and see what we’ve got. Shake things out, see what settles in and what comes crashing down. With the shift of Mercury to Leo Wednesday, we take our observations and get creative. What is this? What can I do with it? Is there more than one way to look at it, and can it be repurposed? And play, the senses want to bring us around to fun again.
Venus quincunxes Pluto, Gemini to Capricorn. Socializing is not straightforward. There can be some awkward twists. It’s likely that what worked before doesn’t work the same way now. That doesn’t mean it’s not going to work again, just not like it did. And that can be an excellent thing. Really. These realizations can come at you sideways, make you think in indirect ways. Hey, maybe I can work with this. It could be exactly what you need to shore things up for the long haul.
This can be a time when you’re reminded secondhand of people who “got your goat” or who used to be beloved before they became a problem. You may get a chance to figure out how that actually worked to your benefit, OR… you may not care about it at all anymore. That can be a plus.
Love and pleasure have the possible benefit of that shakedown too. It feels good to let things go. That can mean losing long standing problems too! Maybe they just don’t affect you like they used to. Can things be passionate and pleasant anyway? YEAH!
The Sun squares Chiron in Aries and sextiles Uranus on Thursday, but the effects are active all week. It’s not going to be easy to stay the same. Start walking the way you’re directed, even when it doesn’t make any sense. It’s like being zapped when you step off the path, but the zaps should be pleasurable if you keep moving – not so much if you balk. None of that is dire. It’s part of shaking down the bits into a new configuration.
It won’t be boring, and it could be delightful.
That configuration may not be where you stay. It may be the first step to somewhere else, so don’t worry too much about that just now. So what if the way is weird; it’s the way for now. Go with it.
Monday through Wednesday, Mercury moves through the end of Moon ruled Cancer. From Wednesday on, we have Mercury in Leo, under the rulership of the Sun. It’s a period of evaluation, low key, maintenance level. The discoveries are new ground, but we’ll get a chance to look closer later.
We are already in the territory of Mercury’s retrograde shadow, the area where Mercury will retread in July. Look, listen, pay attention. What have we got here? Shake things down and see where they settle. Get a little creative, poke them with a stick. Play, have fun with it. Why not?
