Weekly Forecast: February 1-5, 2021 – Venus-Saturn In Aquarius

emmaMonday morning, Venus floats into airy Aquarius and orb of conjunction to Saturn. Venus joins Saturn, Jupiter, the Sun, Pallas Athene, and retrograde Mercury in the sign. The Capricorn-heavy grind is over and it’s been lifting for a while. The collective aesthetic takes a step into a wider world.

As retro Mercury heads back in the sign from its end, Venus moves forward at the beginning. Perspective shifts as we see more humanitarian aims hit the forefront. As Venus eases toward Saturn, however, there’s pushback or limitation on those gains. But take a look at the bigger picture: It’s a blip. We’re going up, lifting, benefitting. Pay attention to the details and double check your work. It’s just the first step in setting a real foundation on some grand ideas.

Monday the Venus-ruled Libra Moon opposes Chiron and trines Saturn, Jupiter, and the Sun (overnight). What do you really need to feel in control, balanced, good (normal)? I’m one of those people who tries to NEVER invalidate someone else’s experience by saying RELAX. But what I AM saying is: RELAX… as a way to control and regulate your mood for your own betterment. Grasp it like it belongs to you. It does. It’s truly a moment when a genuine try at a faked smile can create and become a real emotion, if the intention is true.

Tuesday’s Libra Moon squares Pluto and trines Mercury retrograde. The issues are real, and it’s not easy to manage a volcanic challenge to the mood. However breezy you want to feel, there will always be systemic powers that pop up and break through. The way through is breezy… rise above. Sometimes it helps to think, “Hey, I’m better than this. I have other options.” THAT… can feel pretty good. It’s all about attitude and your ability to look like you’re in compliance when you’re actually serving a higher octave of concerns.

Wednesday the Moon finishes up in Libra and heads to Scorpio. In Scorpio it squares Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter and opposes Uranus in Taurus: a t-square. This t-square in fixed signs creates trouble for the status quo, or as Dr. Horrible once said: The status is NOT quo… the world is a mess and I just need to rule it.

I suppose Dr. Horrible is a stand in for the missing Leo energy to brace us here. Those with Leo energy are likely to step in with their freeze ray. It may work or it may not, for you or for them. It does serve to move the plot along and illuminate where the problems lie.

On Thursday, the t-square morphs. Similar issues present in the Scorpio Moon mood as it squares the Sun and Mercury and opposes Mars. Wednesday’s shenanigans prepare us to resolve some of these status quo issues. It’s not easy, but it may be reasonably simple. The Moon also trines Neptune and heads into sextile with Pluto. Greater forces have a hand in the action and apply the balm of magic. This may provide power to action in a way that creates value and relief.

On Friday, the Moon finishes in Scorpio and pops into hoppy Sagittarius. The Sadge Moon trines Chiron and sextiles Venus and Saturn. Venus moves over Saturn in the night. Keeping in mind that Venus-Saturn has overseen the desires of the entire week, on Friday night we expect to arrive to these possibly compressed pleasures with our dignity and integrity intact. We settle for less when it means being true to who we are. But we cannot settle for less than what we need to maintain that condition. This looks like a good outcome in that arena, as well as a lift to the mood.

Adelaide and her chorus sing as they dance in Guys and Dolls:

Take back your mink
Take back your pearls
What made you think
That I was one of those girls?
Take back the gown
The gloves and the hat
I may be down
But I’m not flat as all that.

A generous and soaring mood can do better than a low-ball offer! Venus-Saturn can help you remember your abiding worth and values.

  1. “We settle for less when it means being true to who we are. But we cannot settle for less than what we need to maintain that condition.” My my my! In Hawaiian, some would say, “Na’u ka hau’oli” … heaped and overflowing with the good stuff when you tell um ‘that tee shirt’s a tad bit small for me.”
You’ve just rounded out the edges for me, again, and fed my morphing old woman’s value system for the good!!!xoxo
