Monday morning, the Moon hits Gemini. Right off the bat it trines Venus in Aquarius; it then goes on to square Neptune. By the end of the day, the Moon forms a quincunx with Gemini ruler Mercury in Capricorn. This is the run-up, the emotional buildup to the full moon on Tuesday: Don’t dawdle, don’t let your wandering focus lead you off the map. Follow clarity. Keep your eyes on the prize!
This isn’t a danger. It’s merely a risk of losing touch with razor sharp focus and a heart-led understanding of the stakes, the gain. Fanciful distraction! All week long, Mercury moves toward conjunction with Pluto and square to Jupiter. However, it is slowing and will go retrograde without closing the deal. It’s easy to get genuinely interested in something valid but chase the traces too far and wind up off task.
While that’s obviously no big deal, it’s a waste of opportunity.
Tuesday the Gemini Moon trines Jupiter in Libra on its way into the afternoon’s full moon opposition with the Sun. It also forms a “mystic rectangle” in its opposition to Saturn and sextile to Uranus. That sounds fancy, but it’s just a neat little package of two trines, two oppositions, and two sextiles. It’s a puzzler with the solution on the back, an equation to balance – with enough challenge to be interesting but all the necessary pieces at hand.
The Moon squares Chiron. At some point there’s a bit of a flush: “Oh no, I’m not up to this!” However, that’s what makes it such a good story. Uncertainty creates romance.
The clever mood is a jiggler… it jiggles the pieces into place. The mood is nimble and in constant motion offsetting a fixed point. Don’t freeze up! Puzzle it out. By the time the Moon moves into opposition with the Sun, the questioning bit is done. The mood finds the counterpoint to the purpose and the pieces fit.
Late Tuesday, the Moon trines Mars in Aquarius, opening up a pathway to action.
Wednesday morning the Moon moves to its own sign, Cancer. Early on, it picks up a trine to Neptune, a trine that strengthens over the course of the day – at its height when the Moon picks up a quincunx to Aquarius Venus. Remember those tangents I suggested you avoid? Have at them! Wander off into the wilderness and explore your heart’s desire. With the pieces in place, whatever holes are left to fall into are the rabbit holes that hold the meaning to the bigger picture of the puzzle.
Thursday moves the Moon into opposition with Mercury in Capricorn, the ruler of Tuesday’s full moon. Understanding emerges and the emotional aftermath of internalizing the details can lead a person to feel at odds with new circumstances. This is all perspective, so don’t rush to judgement. Consciously regulate your emotions if that’s what it takes in order to feel yourself on solid ground again.
The Moon moves on to oppose Pluto and square both Jupiter and Uranus, a cardinal grand cross. Ooooh, sounds scary… not really. We’ve been here before, and the softest part of this equation is the Moon – and the Moon is no shrinking violet here. Don’t give your power away. Internalize your power. You have the power when you choose to recognize that it is yours. Remember that perspective.
All day the Moon is braced by a series of quincunxes from Juno, Saturn, then the Sun – in Sagittarius. Lean back and take in the bigger picture before you lean forward to take off. You may be irritated now, but further on down the road all these smaller puzzles get solved and will fit together to form an even bigger, completed puzzle.
We come back to the slowly moving Mercury carefully stepping into square with Jupiter: If the picture is daunting, pull back into a larger scope, a less concentrated perspective. Get out of the close up and find your footing. This tough stuff makes you smarter! Don’t whine!
Friday morning the Moon moves to Leo, away from all that water and air rulership and into the SUN. With the Sun in Sagittarius, Jupiter ruled, it’s time to dry out, kick up our heels, and head out into that bigger world. Buck up and soak in the cheer – find the humor! The day’s transits favor turning all that drama into a really good story – or alibi… if you want to jump out on your own or with friends and run free.
Tuesday’s full moon takes place at 22 Gemini. Where does this fall in your chart? Does it highlight any of your natal planets?
