We head into Friday night with Venus slipping into Mercury-ruled Virgo. The Moon, past full, moves through the end of Aries squaring Pluto and Saturn and conjoining Aries-ruler Mars – retrograde.
Capricorn Saturn is newly direct and moving slowly. Pluto stationed at 22 degrees Capricorn turns direct as well on Sunday. Mars has squared both and will square both exactly again. Currently Mars square Pluto-Saturn energy permeates everything, but it’s hard to tell if that tumult is coming or going. Probably both. We’re dealing with both sides of the action as well as the deep connotations of action embedded in the foundation of the collective.
The general takeaway inclines the mood to action, but action may be blocked or explosive. The impulse may be to press through and keep it up. However, Venus’ new position inclines us to value the wellbeing of self and others on a different level than we have recently. This Venus values service and health on a very nuts and bolts level. It’s not given to revenge. There’s a healing desire to make things “right”.
This Venus also links to Mercury in Scorpio. Venus is “just the facts ma’am” and Mercury goes digging deep to uncover them. The mood? Provides just enough chaos and hardship to prompt necessary action.
Saturday night, the Venus-ruled Taurus Moon trines Venus and opposes Mercury. The mood is rich and real; appetites are piqued and we need the good stuff. Metaphors and saucy come ons are just the stuff, but they had better deliver. Otherwise, tempers will flare. Feed the beautiful beast.
The Libra Sun moves through quicunx with Uranus this weekend as Mercury quincunxes Chiron. Mars and Juno are at either end of a long, quiet hall, with Black Moon Lilith leaving a conjunction to Mars and heading to oppose Juno.
While there’s a lot of fuss and fluff on the outside, behind the scenes we’re still weighing what we said we’d do against what we already know we’re likely to do. Passionately, deeply, in the places we don’t talk about. Can that change? It can if you think it can.
Sunday morning the Taurus Moon sweeps over Uranus into quincunx with the Sun. The Sun and Moon share a sign ruler in Venus. What we want, what we have, our desires and values… are changing. You can’t balance what’s not yet set. But we can find satisfaction and pleasure now in sometimes hitting a moving target. Look for pleasure that sits right with at least some of your values and find satisfaction – for a time. It’s enough. Or it can be.
By afternoon the Moon heads into trine with Jupiter and sextile to Neptune as they close on their last exact sextile of the year. The mood soaks up the overflow, sweetens it.
We’ve had the Jupiter-Neptune sextile wax and wane all year. What’s your personal philosophy coming to? You’re likely to feel the benefits of a final draft emerging. At least as far as personal satisfaction with your values is concerned. It’s shaping up to include the wellbeing of others and a deep reverence for truth.
What are your weekend plans?
