It’s the last weekend of the summer, the last few degrees of the Sun in Virgo. Virgo ruler Mercury is out ahead of Venus, both in Libra, the sign Venus rules. The order “of the day” is airy, light, and a polite attitude that reflects putting a pretty spin on things.
Mercury and Venus move into square with Saturn, newly direct. Not everything has an easily beautified side. You can sense that something is not quite right about the veneer, but you can’t always tell what’s real and what’s cover for something gone sideways.
Mercury makes an exact square with Saturn on Sunday. It can be hard to trust the narrative minus that ring of truth we count on to square away our gut. This is the case all weekend, and it can be disconcerting. Keep in mind that a lack of trust in the feedback does not equal a problem.
“What?” you say… “If they’re being cagey, something is wrong!” How often do you tell business contacts you can’t talk because you have diarrhea? Not every fact can be easily, simply, or prettily communicated. That doesn’t mean it’s a lie or a negative thing. Timing is also an issue.
In addition, Saturday the Jupiter-Neptune square is exact, so the weekend falls under its influence as well. It tends to bring building stories to a head, for good or ill. It’s the point in the plot where we find out that things are not as we’d assumed and OH MY, PLOT TWIST! The fortune is a mirage; the hero disappears. The wig is whipped off and the illusion is shattered… but receives applause. That lasts the weekend too.
Friday night, the Gemini Moon forms a t-square with the Jupiter-Neptune square. It’s high drama and highly entertaining. And it’s never just one storyline. Prepare to not be bored; it’s a double negative kind of night! In addition, Juno in Virgo is in orb of a mutable grand square with the Moon, Jupiter, and Neptune. Add in some sexual jealousy and we’ve got quite the brew. To quote Willy Wonka: “The suspense is terrible! I hope it will last.”
Saturday, the Moon tours the last bit of Gemini squaring the end of Virgo Sun. Once the illusion breaks, the drama pitch switches gears to highlight the Mercury-Saturn square. People can be very informative when pressed to speak under pressure. In order to be polite, some will babble to fill a silence. If you wish to speak with integrity, take a deep breath and stabilize yourself first. Confidence works wonders. Taking your time looks like confidence. It sounds convincing.
Pro-tip: If you want to learn something, don’t rush to fill an uncomfortable silence. Let someone else fill it. You’ll learn something, one way or another. It also gives you control.
So don’t be rushed. If you want to speak with integrity, choose your words carefully and remember it’s not a race.
With the Moon squaring the Sun, this is midway through the tale. Plot twists are only worrysome only if you forget they’re part of an arc. Play along! Mars in Virgo is juiced up from its trine to Pluto. There’s potent action in play. Move the story forward and enjoy the unfolding. Anything could happen… isn’t that exciting? This is the best part. Even if it seems hard in the short term, lean in. This is where the fun is. This is where the worm turns. Do you feel alive?
The Moon moves to Cancer and its own rulership overnight into Sunday. The Cancer Moon squares Chiron and sextiles Uranus. It goes on to square Venus and light up the Mercury-Saturn square. The challenges light up our core. It’s a kind of forced growth, but it’s still growth. There’s an opportunity to score a big payout, but it won’t be what you expect. Whatever you’ve thought of? That ain’t it. Exciting. Maybe we need some excitement that shakes up the game board and totally rearranges the pieces.
That’s some summer drama! Virgo season holds out to the end. It’s a surprise ending – such a surprise that we can’t even guess yet. A thrill!
