  1. Other virgo quotes:

    “let’s go and work!!”
    My MUM, a virgo.

“Don’t you see that I AM WORKING!”
My “ex”, “Jupiter Pluto Uranus” in virgo

    I have Jupiter in piscis…

  2. Well… I’m a stickler (the Cancer) for the rules by nature but My son (the Virgo) doesn’t mince words or waste time with long, emotional conversations. However, (when provoked) he’ll give it his all and then some. So when he does decide to say something it’s usually eyeopening. Like, the one time when he answered back to me during a heated discussion that we were having over him verbally fighting with his sister (the Capricorn) for the umpteenth time …

“No, Mom! It’s not what a female says but how she says it!”

  3. Colonel Sanders – founder of KFC
–Well known for his immaculate white suit.
According to his daughter’s book, Colonel Sanders had a mistress, and even persuaded his wife to hire the woman to “help with the housework.” (Virgo)
    Quotes:
“There’s no reason to be the richest man in the cemetery. You can’t do any business from there.”

“Feed the poor and get rich or feed the rich and get poor.”

  4. I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much. – Mother Teresa

You could make a case that even if you’re married to your high-school sweetheart, every day should be like falling in love again. – Bill Murray

More than anything else, I’d like to be an old man with a good face, like Hitchcock or Picasso. – Sean Connery

    Be who you are
    And say what you feel
Because those who mind don’t matter
And those who matter don’t mind.

    – Theodor Geisel, Dr. Seuss 🙂

  5. I’m almost positive Dr. Seuss was a Pisces. 🙂

Everybody is forgetting Queen Elizabeth I!

“I would rather be a beggar and single
    than a queen and married.”

“I am no lover of pompous title, but only desire that my name may be recorded in a line or two, which shall briefly express my name, my virginity, the years of my reign, the reformation of religion under it, and my preservation of peace.”

“I know that I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king.”

“I am more afraid of making a fault in my Latin than of the Kings of Spain, France, Scotland, the whole House of Guise, and all of their confederates.”

  6. Makes me want to hear more from Ms. Elizabeth. She was such a bad a$$!

And you are right about Seuss. It was the least Virgo-sounding, anyway. 🙂

  7. “But my big secret
    Gonna hover over your life,
    Gonna keep you reachin’
    When I’m gone like yesterday
    When I’m high like heaven
    When I’m strong like music
    ‘Cause I’m slow like honey
    And heavy with mood”

-“Slow Like Honey” by Fiona Apple, Virgo with Venus-Saturn conjunct

  8. “A person should never need to use more than four squares of toilet paper.” — My father, a Virgo (also, wtf, dad???)

“You should have gotten medicine for that illness before you got sick.” — My father, a Virgo out of control. (again, wtf, dad???)

“Am I studying enough? Was I nice enough to my co-worker? Did I say something potentially insulting to my friend during dinner? Am I training hard enough? Can I lose more weight? Do my blow jobs rock? Will my wedding gown be pretty? Will I ace the GRE? So forth and so on.
First and foremost, when I get down to the bottom of it all… it is the same underlying question: Am I good enough?” — My BFF, Virgo extraordinaire!

  9. Garrison Keillor may be a leo but he has a virgo mars. I like what he sang about above-mentioned virgo J.S. Bach: “Bach had 17 kids because his organ had no stop.” [from the 8/1 broadcast song ‘I’m a Lutheran’]

  10. Keanu Reeves: “The simple act of paying attention can take you a long way.” and
“Art is about trying to find the good in people, and making the world a more compassionate place.”

  11. I’m loving these quotes! I’m a Virgo Sun, Mars and Mercury and most definitely a loner in that I don’t like to stick with one group. I like to be with all different kinds of people and I equally like to be alone. Yes, for a Virgo, happiness is letting go (bad memory). Although, I can see where work work work work work doesn’t allow for everything I enjoy in life, so I’m working on not working so much. HA! The art of perfecting life is exhilarating as long as we can enjoy imperfection, too.

  12. I love this idea, gathering together Virgos and letting them speak ‘in their own words ‘.

The Virgo Bach must be Johann *Christian* Bach, the son of the great johann Sebastian Bach ( who was definitely an Aries, and whose music was much more sublime than any of his sons’ works )
