Using Astrology To Identify, “The One”

zodiac napierYesterday, a client was talking about a woman he knew when he was younger. He and she were in a serious relationship.  She broke it off with him and he let her go.  This is exactly what happened when my husband and I were young.

Looking back, he said if he knew astrology at the time, he would not have let her go.  Reading her chart, he can see how well they suited each other.

It’s a powerful testimony but I’m not sure it’s reliable for this reason: very few people in their twenties know what is best for them!  This is true, in spite of feeling they know it all!

It’s interesting to consider, but in practice, astrology could have the exact opposite effect. It could see you lock onto something you see or think you see in the chart; while neglecting to pay attention to the actual human being and the feelings they’re having in the other person’s presence. In fact, I think the odds of this happening are so high, I could not recommend it.

This doesn’t mean, it couldn’t or wouldn’t work for some. I just know if I were using astrology to choose a man when I was young – I would want a Sagittarian!  Oh hell, yes! I want to have fun.

But would this be what’s right for me? How about, no.

What do you think?

  1. Fascinating topic! This should generate lots of talk…I have always had an “old man crush” on Gene Hackman. Just loves me some Gene. I looked at his chart–yep! He is my perfect match. The hits just keep coming. When I met my late husband, I looked at his chart and told a friend, “There is nothing to recommend him.” We were crazy happy for the 8 years we were together. So, yeah: No. Larger forces are at work, for damned sure.

  2. I feel like we all grow differently into our charts. See a drastically different thing, depending on the surround, through the years. So many factors. I love this topic …

  3. Yeah I am clueless to what might be a compliment to my sign or my personality
I do have ,at this point in time ,some strong opinions about different personalities I found and relate them to their signs ??accurately or in accurately
I think it’s in the eyes I think it’s gonna be in the delivery of the sentence and the softness in the smile ,I tend to think somebody having the same work experience as me might appreciate me for what I’ve learned and in that being said I would love to not only have the companion for the love but for the being able to work together I’m rather attached to the dirt and when I find persons who enjoy that it has been a joy to work with them in the dark I guess that’s my dream guy

  4. When I was young, I followed my South Node on my Libra ascendant and let the men express my North Node in Aries. A worker in the mailroom once told me I was too meek! Once I stopped projecting Mars, everything improved — I went back to school, rose in my new profession and met men who treated me well. etc. So it’s not just who is compatible on paper but how you’ve grown into your chart.

  5. Elsa, I married a Sag.

It was not fun after we married. Whole other person emerged.

Eventually I divorced him. Also ugly at the time.

But I’m 0 Virgo sun with four planets in Gemini. Might have something to do with it.
