The Sun In Pisces, Dakota Fanning, And The New Moon

The Sun has just entered Pisces joining Mercury, Chiron and Neptune. Tuesday the Moon hits Pisces and conjuncts the Sun, the new moon (between 2 and 3 degrees). That’s a lot of Pisces energy in one place. Also, it’s the first new Pisces Moon with Neptune in Pisces in our lifetime. There will be many more but this is the first and it is conjunct Neptune itself. So if you’re looking for a day to set intentions for magical transformation, well, there’s no better moment.

I can’t think of a better poster “child” for this energy than Pisces actress Dakota Fanning who turns 18 this week and has the new Pisces Moon conjuncting her Sun.

Dakota has been a celebrated actress for years, accumulating many “firsts” and a good deal of controversy over the Plutonian nature of several of her film roles. If you’re interested in Dakota Fanning’s natal chart, Annalisa did a fantastic interpretation that can be found by clicking the “Dakota-Fanning” tag at the end of this post. I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, so I’ll just mention a few salient points.

Dakota seems to me a highly iconic example of a Pisces youth, coming of age story in the making. Her Saturn is very closely conjunct her Sun and both are aspected by her Moon (Leo) and Pluto (Scorpio). Transiting Pluto has recently finished its influence on her Sun and now she’s set for the rising from the ashes phase of this phoenix transit. What better way to start that off than with this singularly powerful new moon? I’d bet my bottom dollar on this chick soaring in her new, adult life.

Where does the new moon fall in your chart?

The Sun In Pisces, Dakota Fanning, And The New Moon — 10 Comments

  1. I found it interesting how many people said “Wait was the Dakota Fanning?” in the comments… like everyone thinks it is but has the feeling maybe its not. Neptune? She is beautiful and though translucient looking it doesnt strike me as weak.. but more like she can flow away from that which tries to stop her.

    Best wishes to her 🙂

  2. 10th house for me, semi-sextile my MC, trine my north node (both exact). Seems pretty good, considering I started a new job on Monday.

But hm. So, Elsa, you know how you consider a transit over once the transiting planet moves a degree past the natal planet? (I hope I said that correctly.) So, would my planets at 0 degrees be influenced by the New Moon, or has the transiting moon already cleared them?

  3. Thanks, Satori! So then I can add a sextile to Chiron (12th) and a square to Jupiter (in the 1st). The way I see it, those two are in play due to the fact that this new job sees a chronically ill person trying to play ‘normal.’
