Teaching Astrology

zodiac blue wheelI’m asked to teach astrology on a regular basis. I’m interested in doing this but I’ve not been able to figure out how it could be done.

Satori and I have had a number of workshops over the years, including some beginner classes, with specific themes. Unfortunately, it did not occur to me to create transcripts until it occurred to me to create transcripts!  Consequently our older work is inaccessible.

Putting together a general astrology class at this point seems challenging to the point where it may be impossible.  This is because people who read here are at different levels in their study. If you please one group, you disappoint the other and I don’t want to do this.

I’m in this phase now, where I am experimenting (Uranus) with my business (Saturn). I thought I’d ask if you might have ideas. Not just what you’d like but how you’d like it. We have zoom now, for example.

I like blood and guts topics. I like to really get into it but I also enjoy breaking things down and making astrology easily accessible to the ultra beginner.  I know that once a person has a solid handle on one aspect of astrology, the subject opens up.

Got any idea?  What would you like to see from me and thanks!

  1. I have zero business experience, but… Say you get people to sign up for A course which does not have defined content yet. As a part of signing up, a person gets to list 1,2 or 3 topics or questions they would like covered in class.
Then you can divide all those who signed up based on the topics/questions into separate classes. You get to decide which questions/topics to bunch into the same class.

  2. You could host a series of talks on YouTube where people can live-comment in with questions!

To ensure an audience, you could set the video to limited view only for people who register with you. Sell tickets for the event.

  3. Webinars are popular and can be created so they are live but with purchase can be viewed again and again. You could just go from any subject you want-Signs and the Psychology, How a chart is set up, houses, planets in houses. Then in more detail-Interceptions of Houses, Aspects between planets etc. This way too you have a bit more control. First Live viewers could ask questions and late viewers not in the Live session could email you later with any questions. YouTube is okay to but I hate they track so much of one’s activity. And there is always Zoom like you mentioned.

  4. Can’t speak for others and I suspect I’m in the minority. ? But I’m interested in learning to read the Ebertin life diagram and technical stuff like different chart drawing styles. Why is Placidus the default for natal and Regiomontanus for Horary etc. There isn’t a whole lot of difference from what I can tell but practitioners insist on the latter.
