Solving YOUR Problem, Not Theirs!

sagittarius printIt’s not uncommon, clients show up in groups. Pretty much, every client I worked with this week, was fed up.

They’d had enough bullshit. Enough failure. Enough pain. They just want to get on with their lives.

One wanted to move beyond illness.

Another wanted to get her husband back; raise her baby in a two-parent household – quit failing with this to avoiding having to face a scary future.

One of them has finally tired her single, nomadic life. Can she hop tracks, for good and forever? Of course!

Another gal has been divorcing for several years now. She’s got another man waiting in the wings…or not?

“Look,” I said. “You’ve got to land this plane. Or you want to fly around forever..?”

She’d did not want fly around forever.

“Then you’re going to land it. YOU are going to land it, regardless of what either of them do; you’re taking the wheel and putting this thing on the ground.”

There was another gal, so sick of her results she’s going to try something new – screwing up.  How much fun is it to be perfect…ly alone?

People love people, not veneer.  They pretend to love veneer. That’s different!

See the theme?  We have a square closing between Jupiter in Virgo (rx) and Saturn in Sagittarius. It begs you to seek the truth and fix the problem. YOUR problem, not theirs.

Are you truly disgusted with what’s not working in your life?  Are you going to do something about it? What?

  1. AMEN!!!!!!!!!! Love this, loved the consult, and loved hearing the truth again, the plain truth.

Sometimes someone on the outside needs to look in. Someone that isn’t close so they can be objective and tell you what role you play in the story of your life! Someone that says, stop playing that same old broken record over and over….you are at the wheel SO DO SOMETHING.

    And, I did.

  2. I like dealing with people at the end of their rope. I also like working with people who can see the end of their rope and don’t want to get anywhere near it.

I also like working with people who have been at the end of their rope, progressed and now want to put as much distance as they can between them and the end of the rope.

    🙂

  3. Well, I’m moving out of my apartment even though I don’t want to downsize. But the rent is just getting too damn high and I’ve been flipping out about that for years.

  4. One of my favorite scenes in “The Holiday” shows Kate Winslet’s character, Iris, having a meal with an older gentleman (Arthur) who once worked in the Hollywood film industry. He told her, “This is not a hard one to figure out. Iris, in the movies we have leading ladies and we have the best friend. You, I can tell, are a leading lady. But for some reason you are acting like the best friend.”
She replies, “You’re so right. You’re supposed to be the leading lady of your own life, for God’s sake!”

My very favorite scene is the one where she takes Arthur’s advice and kicks her ex, Jasper, to the curb. She declares she’s found a little thing called “gumption”. She finally learned to solve her man problem after 3 years and stopped letting him mess with her head. 🙂

  5. Just the same old 4-10 balance. Gotta keep a check on it.

Just the same old 4-10 balancing act. It’s a constant. Mutable weirdness.

From Shawshank Redemption: “Get busy living or get busy dying.” And I would add, “no matter how bitterly enraged you are that you have to and that others at least had a loving life partner to shoulder difficulties with when you never have and maybe never will.”
