Snooping And Porn

Back ’round 2006-7 when I used to write a lot of astrology-based advice, two topics that came up frequently were snooping and porn. We’ve not discussed either for years now and I wonder if anything has changed. Here is an old post on the topic: Do you snoop?

It is funny how these things, when out of sight are out of mind. I don’t write advice lately but I do consult with a lot of people are rarely hear about snooping anymore or problems with the partner and his or her porn.

Cheating from all angles was also frequently addressed in the past and still is so I wonder why I never hear of this other stuff anymore. Any ideas?

Do you snoop or do people snoop on you? How do you feel about this?

I used to snoop once in awhile. It really didn’t bring me anything but misery. At one point it became a self-torturing obsession. I’ve really learned the value of minding my own business.

I know a lot of people defend snooping at a means of accountability for their partner, but I just can’t go with that anymore. The truth always comes out without my help. For my next relationship onward, if I suspect something, I’m just going to call my partner out on it. If he says something different from what my gut is telling me, well that’s a lot of important info right there.

Overall, I don’t care if people snoop on me. I really don’t have anything to hide. As long as they’re not trying to spend my money or steal my identity, I’m cool. 😉

  2. the few times i’ve given in to being snoopy, it felt dirty. now, i trust the truth is robust enough to emerge eventually without any meddling from me.

  3. 3 Teenagers: possible snooping

Gave my 17 yr old a box of condoms, I don’t want to encourage him, but I’m not ready to be a grandma yet! Looked in his top dresser drawer, the box of condoms has reproduced into 2 boxes (way to go snooping mom – ya got what you deserved *rolls eyes*).

    Adults: highly unlikely to snoop

  4. Not proud of it, but since the last poll I’ve done it on a serious basis. I’ve since stopped. Misery, misery, and more misery. I have to admit, should the same situation constellate again, I’d be hard-pressed to refrain even knowing what it’d bring.

    Damn. I never learn. :/

  5. I never snoop in my teenage son’s room or my wife’s life.

However, I do like a good mystery so sometimes go off snooping into the lives of people who only give me half-stories. Then I want to discover the rest and off I go, like a beagle with his nose stuck into Google. Heavens – that makes me sound kinda crazy – but really, I’m not … It’s just that my third house is in Scorpio and I’ve got Virgo obsession (or so a friend tells me)

  6. I chose I never snoop. I never do, though sometimes curiosity is killing me.
I will add this caveat, though. Sometimes you should snoop on your kids. Wish I had, it might have saved us both some heartache and trouble. As it was, cleaning her room while she was in the psych ward was veeeery enlightening.
