Scrabble Madness – Pluto Transit

I play a lot of phone scrabble lately. Mostly because it keeps me from leaping out of windows. I’m also having an intense Pluto transit. In one particular game, the actual picture of which I’ve posted, I played an unprecedented amount of “negative” words. My opponent sent me an instant message noting this, asking if I was okay.

Here’s the thing… I’m having some really dark times. But I use the feature on the app that tells me what my highest scoring possibility was after the fact. And all these dark words were my best play. Sometimes you just have to lean into the energy and do your best, make your best play even if it seems dark and worrisome to everyone else. You get the letters you get. You play off what comes at you, what you have no control over.

At some point some people will decide that I am a sad sack that needs help. Apparently for my stepfather that point was brunch today. But I think he’s wrong. I think I’m doing really well with what I have to work with.

Astrology is like that. You get these transits and you have these natal energies… and there’s no button to tell you if you made the best move possible. But if you pay attention, you can sometimes figure it out. Take a look at those letters on the bottom. My next word could have been “render”, which can be creepy in some contexts. It wasn’t. I played “endear” which had the same amount of points.

We work with the energies we’re given on a board not of our choosing. Maybe we can still win.

  1. I totally agree with this Satori. Use the energy in your favor, don’t run away from the dark, emerse yourself in it and be enlightened. <3

  2. Brilliant observation Satori. I think you’re right on the money. I’ve been going through a pluto transit for the last few years also, on my sun. My dad said i look like death, he’s really worried how ‘dark’ i am, and he’s scared somethings really wrong with me and he wants me to just, ‘pull out of it’. hahaha. You can’t, and nor should you. You’re supposed to go with it. You’re walking through the valley of death, churping up with ‘i’m singing in the rain’ and dancing around like fred astair, is a ridiculous notion during a pluto transit. Forgive them, they just don’t get it.

Hang in there Satori. The light will come back. You’re doing great, with the cards that you’re deal. You’re DEAD right. hahaha. Emerse yourself in the dark and be enlightened.

  3. Been there Pluto-wise, and came out the other side just fine, wiser, tougher and hm, sassier?! hang in there! This was a great post. You may be strapped into a car you didn’t choose but your driving seems fine! Ah Pluto transits!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. This is where creativity comes into play.

Am also laughing to remember my young niece’s outburst, when her grandmother, my mother, put the word or not word ‘catshit’ on the board. ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. Hi Satori,

I completely identify with your thoughts. Pluto is on my natal moon and will be there for all of 2014. Saturn has recently cleared my natal mercury (after clearing my natal neptune and natal sun) and is slowly heading toward my north node and then my natal saturn. Yesterday, for the first time in my 57 years, I accepted the idea that I might do better with an antidepressant for the next little while. Now this was a change, considering I’ve managed to live with my 8th house Scorpio stellium so far… Recently I read two great books that have affirmed and acknowledged my life struggles as well as shed new light: Introvert Power by Helgoe and The Scapegoat Complex by Brinton Perera. I’m hoping and praying that I will pull through and that all of us who are trying so hard to remain good and intact under pressure will pull through. Hugs to you and thanks for continuing to write and share.

  6. Pluto’s been messing with my Libra Sun, and it’s in the 10th house. Not sure if this plays out at work or not, but a few years ago we were bought out by another company (that had bought us out just five years before). My life has been nothing but one adjustment after another and even my new boss has been aware that I’ve been forced to constantly adjust to new priorities and new rules. The employer I have now lovvvves paperwork, and they seem to like keeping their affairs a little clandestine, while adhering to a corporate structure. (They are a big corporation, after all.) When I was in college, I hated corporations, still do. So having to get in line with one is a change for sure.
Meanwhile, Uranus is standing across the room, doing his little dick dance and challenging me to a game of chicken. Grrrr.

Thank you these words made me laugh inside. If just for a moment

  7. I love this analogy, Satori. I, too, have Pluto hitting my DC and squaring my Libra stellium, and my family has expressed concern for me. I don’t know that there’s much I can tell them to help them feel better.

  8. Thank you for this post. I’m beyond dark and have been for most of 2013 (Pluto is square my natal Pluto), i’ve just started taking anti-psychotics/depressants and now i’ve come here and read this post. I’ve got a love for words and this post inspired me to take out my “Haikubes”-set and start makin me up some morbid/sordid haiku. ๐Ÿ™‚ Or maybe they’ll turn out sweet and lovely. Who knows.

  9. I can’t thank you enough for posting this. I have been playing Words With Friends at full capacity and at every chance for over a year now, my one good distraction while enduring a Pluto transit of my own. I feel a lot better about devoting so much time to this now. It’s not the worst vice in the world. We could have taken up, oh, heroin or something.

  10. Things have been rough for me lately, and playing words with friends gives me a reprieve from my worries. 2013 was a tough year. I loved your analogy! You rock girlfriend!

I damn love this statement. Yup exactly. Fight on, and hope, and there will always be a ‘we can still win’.
