Saturn In Scorpio – Death Planning

scorpio necklace niceThis has not been on my mind, but recently I stumbled onto a place I thought would good for my husband’s and my ashes to be entombed. It just struck me.

I called him about it, he sounded a bit skeptical. He’s used to me being ย a bit crazy. But then I took him to the place, I could tell right away he liked it.

Within a day or two, he’d mentioned this to a family member. ย The reaction must have been okay, because we’ve pretty much decided on this now.

I suspect we’ll will pay or contract to pay for the niches someone over the next few months. This way, we won’t burden our children and we’ll be pretty assured of lying next to each other.
This is classic for Saturn in Scorpio, and don’t forget, there’s a mutual reception to Pluto in Capricorn. If you have stuff like this to do, do it now.ย If you’re not up to speed on Saturn in Scorpio – this transcript will fix that.

  1. I would like to return to Africa, and am not sure exactly when I will go in the next few years. Yet just yesterday I sat down and made a list of all the vaccines I would need to take this summer in preparation for a return, starting with the live vaccines, MMR and yellow fever, which are the harshest in terms of effects, and moving on to Hep A, Hep B, three rabies shots, meningococcal meningitis, poliomyelitis, and typhoid, all of which I have to boost because it has been more than 10 years since I’ve been in Africa. So, if not death, Saturn at least makes you responsible about the deadly.

  2. Funny, I was thinking about this very topic this afternoon. I need to have this talk with my parents and I am trying to decide what to do with me. I am pretty sure my kids will scatter to the four winds like baby spiders and I’m not sure I want to be stuck somewhere random on my own. Unless it is the perfect spot!

    1. heatherm your image of your kids scattering like baby spiders is so perfect. We watch them (real baby spiders) and they DO scatter with just that abandon.

I still can’t even figure out where to live, let alone where to reside after death! But one idea I favor — both pet cemeteries where my old dogs were buried allow someone to come in and add an urn to be interred in the existing grave. No one needs to know whose ashes are in it. Otherwise, if I have any money left by then, I’d like to have my ashes sent to my (younger) friends in Scotland to cast to the winds atop a wild hill in the Highlands…

  4. My husband’s been reluctant to draw up an advance directive or will (despite the fact that he’s been in the hospital fighting for his life twice in the last two years. And he’s been dragging his feet about treating his sleep apnea (which has gotten worse). He got a scare the other night, though, and woke up gasping for air. Maybe now he realizes he is toying with death and will take it seriously.

  5. My husband has a lot of health issues; his father died suddenly of a heart attack at 50, and he himself has had 2 heart attacks and 7 stents in his chest- and he is only 42.

However, he avoids this type of planning. I don’t know how to talk about it except in a vague way.

I know that I want my own ashes to go to my children, and they split time with my ashes 1/2 the year, and share me on holidays.

I can’t decide if this is part of your regular planning, Elsa, or if you feel the need to expedite your readiness… ๐Ÿ™

    1. I think it does. In fact, I’ve been wondering and questioning people all day, of they think a suicide in my circle could be possible. So yeah. I know what you mean. ๐Ÿ™

  6. I have Saturn in Scorpio natally, and I have always loved graveyards. I find them peaceful and soothing. So quiet!!!

I too want my ashes scattered over the North Sea somewhere… cheap and efficient. Feed the whales!

I have a playlist of songs to be played at my funeral. I want to inspire people even in death ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Many astrological predictions represent sickness, sorrows, death. If you have Saturn in Scorpio, you can be very self-disciplined.
