Pluto In Capricorn And The So Called “Little People”

I was thinking about the soldier’s exploits and my own and thought of my (perennial) ex-boyfriend, Scott who came from a well-to-do family.

He once told me that it was the “little people” who did everything important in the world. This was about 28 years ago at the time I was filing the sexual harassment lawsuit which he supported.

“Yep, we’d be lost without the little people” he said. “There would be no progress at all.” (Scott has an Aquarius Moon)

“Are you calling me a little people? Do you think I am a little people?”

“Well yes I do, Elsie. I do think you’re a little people.”

“And you’re not? Well I’ll be damned. So what do you non-little people do while us little people do all the important stuff?”

“Oh, well we talk about what you do. We read about it in the paper and discuss it over our opulent dinners. Opulent. Do you know that word, Elsie?”

“Fuck you, Scott. I will cram that opulent dinner down your throat, you fuckin’ asshole.” ::smile::

Having garnered the reaction he was looking for, Scott laughed heartily….

With Pluto in Capricorn, 2008-2024, some of these so-called little people may actually come to power. I live in hope.

  1. Really, you think this is the mark of the rise of the little people? I see Pluto in Capricorn embodying the continuation of the rise of the plutocracy – where corporations get even bigger and more consolidated, controlling even more of the media, forcing us wee ones to the underground and to the fringes…

But I hope you’re right. As Hillary said (and no, I don’t think she stands a chance): “…but they’re not invisible to me.”

  2. Avery – Like I said, I live in hope. But I do think true Capricorn – the self-made man or woman who who comes up from the bottom via hard work and perseverance will be empowered. These are the true leaders.

  3. Well, whoever inherits this mess is going to have to have street smarts to handle it, that’s for sure. And you don’t get that from opulent dinners. Here’s to the little people.

  4. there are no little people.

but i get your point. i can hope a greater variety of voices gets heard. and acted on.

  5. I think there are little people in that there are different wires for the mechanism and together they make the whole. I don’t believe that little=small=less.
Then again, I *know* I am a little person, so there you go.

I always have hope that evolution is taking place, I look forward to Pluto in Capricorn, though I’m not looking forward to it transiting my Moon. Life has something for me up it’s sleeve and I was in the mood for a little rest. There’s that bloody word again.

  6. There is a character in the Anne of Green Gables books who, during the first World War, quotes Tennyson’s line, “What is it all but a trouble of ants in the gleam of a million million suns?” when asking if God is paying attention to their suffering.

I love the answer her minister gives: “You forget, that a power which is infinitely large must be infinitely small as well.”

It’s one of the cancers of modern living to see any other living, sentient being as “less than.” But it sounds like Scott just enjoys yanking peoples’ chains by making it sound like he’s saying the opposite of what he really means.

I don’t think Pluto in Capricorn means the rise of “power to the people,” but there is a bone of dry morality in Capricorn and I think corporations will probably have to toe the line if they want to survive over time.

  7. Hmm, Elsa I disagree. I think Aquarius is when the little people (who aren’t powerless or little imo) will come to power. Aquarius represents the people. Capricorn is big corporations to me. Just my two cents!

  8. Here’s what it looks like to me at this point: there seems to be a pluto in cap transit before (shadow government/tightening of shackles by the plutocracy) and another AFTER saturn’s ingress in his home sign, which – at least for me – has been of help in unleashing some good ol’ karma onto some people in terms of shrinking their control powers over others. The king’s naked ass is on display and saturn is bringing some attention to that and the aids that make the clothing… they still just aids, but “what if” they refuse to sew for the king? He be dressing in bed sheets? Dont think so… *grins*

    1. And I meant tge “aids” particularly in reference to women. I see men coming off as weaker whereas women of the little people are taking the lead (despite their wounds, unpreparedness and all the juggling with personal/family lives), in every field possible. Not exactly being rewarded for that…yet! Hopefully by 2020 we’ll see a change coming…
