Pluto In Aquarius: Tracking, Manipulation & Killing Technology

VirusPluto will enter Aquarius in 2023. I started writing about the Dark Side of Innovation & the Internet in 2015. I track things that interest me so I’ve added to the topic since. See tag – Pluto in Aquarius

I don’t think it’s a secret, people are becoming more and more fed up with being tracked.  Most people have some sort of ad-blocker installed. People are abandoning Facebook. They’re deleting apps from their phones.

I’ve recently discovered “container tabs” on the Firefox browser.  They restrict activity to a specific tab. This allows you to be logged into two accounts on the same site using one browser.

You can also get specific containers for sites like, Twitter, Facebook., Youtube or Google, for that matter. Supposedly this prevents these entities from tracking activity outside the contained.

It’s funny, really. We have to contain these companies like we would a virus.

I doubt these tools are 100% effective but I’m pretty sure they have an impact.

There are also groups of people blocking any company that advertises on Twitter.  The intent is to harm the company.

Imagine paying to promote your product. As a result, they never see a tweet of yours again.  What a reversal.

I’m happy to say, these changes favor a site like mine. I work for the money I make on this site, rather than selling the user.  I also allow people to participate anonymously. I am the only one, exposed! My name. My face. My concern.

Have you taken any steps to thwart tracking? I think the worm is turning. You?

Pluto In Aquarius: Tracking, Manipulation & Killing Technology — 32 Comments

  1. I’m not sure how. I’ve noticed more companies embracing (like idiots) AI and machine learning. They are looking for people who specialize in these subjects. I worry about Pluto in Aquarius and have to question what I can do. To me it’s almost worse than Pluto in Capricorn even if it affects my chart less. Maybe I should stop freaking out.

  2. I’m excited, yet also scared of Pluto in Aquarius! Aquarius rules so many things: Computers, technology, friendships, social media, robots, social justice politics, astrology, the future, etc, etc.

It’s a lot that’s going to be uncovered (Pluto) by Pluto’s energy.

    • Aren’t you kind of worried it will take all these things to the extreme and people won’t answer Pluto’s challenge and society will never recover? I don’t think we are answering well to Pluto in Capricorn. I don’t think we are having much of a rebirth. Other in the most negative ways.

  3. Pluto in Aquarius could be brilliant for humanity (science, robotics used for complicated surgery, an egalitarian society, etc). Unfortunately these innovations are in the hands of unenlightened humans so this can translate to robots used in war, microchipped staff so employers can see how long their toilet breaks are, etc). I fear the worse and I think we are entering a distopian time which will get worse. The reason I think this is because humanity is already pretty bad (wars, poverty, disease, climate change, corruption) and as a society we can’t seem to do anything about it. Sorry to be negative…

  4. I’m not a fan of Pluto transits because they’re so extreme. I expect that Pluto in Aquarius will bring about great advances in AI and robotics. Maybe self-driving cars will become the new norm. Robots will be care-givers for the elderly and take over many jobs. The beginnings of things like that are happening now.

I think space travel will become a reality and we will have space colonies on the Moon and Mars. There could be some great discoveries regarding that during Pluto in Aquarius.

The downside of that transit is what will happen to human kind. If robots do everything for us what is left for us to do?

    • The factory of the future will have only two employees, a man and a dog. The man will be there to feed the dog. The dog will be there to keep the man from touching the equipment.

  5. What people need is a return to small, close communities..The kind I grew up in during the 1950s…We need to value and help each other, rather than being in a mad rush for technology which only creates alienation.

  6. In describing the Pluto in Capricorn transit, Elsa once wrote about how, “the noose is tightening.” I’ve never been able to get that phrase out of my head since. Technology has been pulling that noose tighter around us, with increasingly fewer ways to opt out of being surveilled, tracked and having our movements–and choices–limited, restricted and manipulated. And choice, after all, is one of the qualities that makes us essentially human. I dread to think what the Pluto in Aquarius era may bring to humanity with ongoing advances in robotics, AI and biogenetic engineering. Will human beings end up being “modified” beyond recognition? Will we even be human anymore? What do others think?

  7. Must confess my screen time is like 23 minutes a day , hello my momma was Raerae I’ve been hiding in her name I come here like u are a sister on my answering machine, I confess I can’t keep my hands off big heavy old paper books in my free times, and I play in the dirt been potting bulbs inside, feel much better now that I confessed

  8. Like most people here, I am also scared. I don’t think the worm is turning. This is twilight time and we’re not (yet) fully aware that the night is coming.

    • You may be right. But maybe not.

There are a number of people slowly unplugging. The baby boomers are shopping less and the younger people have less money… student loans and such.

I think a number of very large companies can dry up rather quickly. But this might be the “night” you mention.

  9. What I wrote here sounds, perhaps, too melodramatic. I wasn’t thinking only of the Internet and tracking and blocking. They’ll continue to do that and I don’t really care much.
I was thinking of things like illegal covert surveillance, organized stalking, frame ups, secret military weapons that don’t kill you (they just torture you and make you commit suicide) and all the things that are going on behind the scenes that you can’t talk about (if you want to be regarded as sane).

    • I don’t think you’re being melodramatic at all. All of those things go on right now. One thing I read earlier this year was about the sonic attack on US Diplomats in Cuba. It caused them to suffer brain injuries, hearing loss, etc., and not just temporarily. Its scary stuff and so far we do not know who is responsible for the attack. There is a lot of evil in the world right now.

  10. I believe that Pluto in Aquarius will kill objectivity. Everyone’s going to think, and feel, however they wanna think and feel, and truth will die. Forget about getting facts anymore, people just want to push their biases and agenda down people’s throats, and the masses won’t question anything anymore. Scary stuff!

Bye bye clear thinking! Bye bye facts!

    • Pluto can bring extremes either negative or positive. Aquarius in Pluto could bring an overthrow of entrenched power (similar to the French Revolution). The powers could be corrupt governments or corporations. There is a side to Pluto which exposes the dark side of every sign it transits and when the problems and associated fears come to light, and the ugliness and underbelly is shown, we can start to make changes. But some changes take time while others can be abrupt and swift. If anything, in Aquarius, the masses will be stimulated to take on humanitarian and environmental causes even when it seems too bleak. It could be that something terrible forces us to work together as a species out of necessity (Climate change? War? Pollution? Overpopulation? ). Technology will make leaps and bounds, governments will be forced to adapt more social safety nets, space travel will be in vogue again and groups, clubs and friendships will be transformed and all the dirty little secrets associated with them will get aired out in the laundry.

      • The planet can only sustain so much human activity.
In the past mother nature has been able to battle back and rectify it in a natural way.It has never had to deal with the modern by products of technology ; it can absorb some of it to a degree , but with a growing population occupying the.’ habitable ‘zone on the planet it has come to a point where it has become stressed to where it cannot recycle itself as it has for millennia.
Much of technology has promoted population growth and expansion.( it wasn’t that long ago that we had to chop firewood to get us through the winter.)technological advances in health have increased the human life span. As with an illness it does no good to treat symptions without addressing the cause.
Breeding like rabbits is not going to help the challenges that are on the horizon. It will only exacerbate them.
We are at a crossroads where we need to have a mass consciousness awakening.
Some of the aforementioned events could come to pass.

      • Climate change would cause a rise in sea level endangering.low lying populations and municipalities. ; however there are a myriad of things that could happen and/or along side this : Shifting of the tectonic plates will eventually occur at some point in time that will create tsunamis that will reach both shores of the U.S.
A book by a Mathemetician named Malankovitch followed the cyclic activity of volcanic eruptions coinciding with ice age ossilations on the planet ; aside from the acceleration of global warming due to human activity. Then theres asteroids , or comets that could hit the earth causing mass extinctions like the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.Something similar probably happened only about 10 thousand years ago to cause a rise in sea level due to glacial melting and may be linked to the origin of the story of Atlantis ; surely there are many ancient cultures that were victims of this, resting off the shores of the Mediterranean sea.
There were many extinctions of mega fauna that occurred about 10 thousand years ago +/-.
We’ve survived so far , but in the end mother nature will have the last word.I’m at about 600 ft. above sea level so I’m not worried for the moment.( hehe )
In summation : they estimate that 95 per cent of the species that have lived on the planet have gone extinct and that there is an average time for a species to thrive and then die out.Cataclysms come and go.To quote from the movie Jurrasic park : ” life will find its way.” “Don’t worry be happy !” Ocasio Cortez can go back to waitressing at her taco restaurant , and everything will be fine ! Have a good day ! 🙂

  11. We all became this new technology almost 18 years now..my face books began in 2007 during the great world recession as it became and when Occupy came up crowds came up and the solo everyone became in concert on line…there is a bit of every artist in their work while Aquarius will come as it did in the late 1700s so Aquarius grandfather is Edison who was Aquarius and he made electricity become human…humane and harnessed.

  12. I can’t say I know as much as I would like to about how to protect my privacy, but I use DuckDuckGo (a search engine that doesn’t track you) and also have an email account with ProtonMail which is secure, anonymous, encrypted email based in Switzerland. I just don’t like the direction our rights to privacy are going. ProtonMail has joined up with Mozilla Firefox, too. Below is a snippet from ProtonMail’s homepage and links to look at if you’re interested. Their website & blog are very informative. Reporters and scientists use it to ensure safe, private emails when dealing with sensitive material. It may not have colorful theme backgrounds to choose from or have all the little bells and whistles that Gmail has yet but they are working on it all the time.

“ProtonMail was founded in 2013 by scientists who met at CERN and were drawn together by a shared vision of a more secure and private Internet. Since then, ProtonMail has evolved into a global effort to protect civil liberties and build a more secure Internet, with team members also hailing from Caltech, Harvard, ETH Zurich, and many other research institutions.

Today, we help our community of millions of users secure their private data online. More than 10,000 supporters have assisted us in this mission by donating to make this project possible. Thanks to your support, we are continuing to develop state of the art email privacy and security technology from our home base of Geneva, Switzerland.”

It seems like a good start.

  13. Good point as Robots will come about, but Why….isn’t the Aquarian way of life to be detached, I had seen this in several of my Aquarian friends, who I found off another world as Leos I know they mean business, This whole future is to be unread, shocking to the the Old World Folks who like Organic love and Natural Genders, meanwhile Star Trek is a good focus of who were are to become as material reality becomes another phase that is transformed into Contained Nuclear Dust that will travel and become material once again…there is humor to our thinking here and logic to say the 2020’s is the Future as we enter that age….

  14. My prediction, fwiw, is Pluto in Aquarius is the Tech Bust. At this rate, however, that looks like it could happen any second as tech stock keeps going down the toilet. At least the repercussions will be evident as the years progress.
Reflecting on Pluto in Capricorn… it has brought total destruction to norms, structures, institutions, father/authority figures, laws, regulations. One could argue Trump’s presidency is one of the most transparent, if not the most, transparent yet. We get to see, in technicolor, how corrupt things are and have always been as the top has been blown off the cesspool that is our government. We’re seeing out-in-the-open gangland tactics being used by the world’s powers ie. Russia, Saudi Arabia etc. just killing folks like it’s not a thang.
Perhaps Pluto in Aquarius is the horror of technology coming to light and the death of social media. We all know now the role of social media in precipitating this cool post-truth/post-belief/post-ideology era we find ourselves in. Facebook will become myspace (if they’re lucky). It’s inevitable. Hell, if they are able to carry on until Pluto enters Aquarius I’d be a little shocked.
… & at the end of tha day this all coincides with the US Pluto return. I’m imagining a very new kind of technological warfare with China and Russia 🤗

  15. Uranus in Taurus could also indicate ‘ sudden ‘ earth changes.Robotic ideas incubated in Aries will come full swing to manifest itself materially in Taurus. My popularity should increase when it crosses my asc., and turned my Sun , N. Node and many other of my earth planets as it transits them. ( hehe 😄 ).

  16. My thoughts are the Uranus in Taurus will have features that were cast when it was in Transit in the 1930s, and the climate was just a few million or a billion on the planet at the time, we have to realize Pluto is a 20th Century Planet Archatype in the sense that , people are the next cause in effect for Industrial Populations, that have more freedom then Aquarian Technological populations….so the sketches made her on Aquarian are are important….We may see building Pyramids again but they will be building them do it as we are in retirement….as we should realize The Taurus was a fixed age 3.000 BC.

    • MY last thought is confusing , Fixed sign eras of 2.000 years seem to be ages of slavery….while Rome was the beginning of the Aries era…The age of Fishes was perfect…..
