Jupiter in Sagittarius – What Was God Thinking?

Jupiter card redMy husband has Jupiter in Sagittarius.

“I can’t believe we didn’t spend our lives together, P. Do you ever think about this? Why do you think this happened? Why did we separate anyway? Why did God make it this way? We’ve had to spend our whole lives apart, so why do you think that is?”

“Well, I’ve told you a million times. We have this huge story. I can’t even tell it all to you. I don’t think I can do it. I am going to have to write a screen play or something. And then you can read it and understand…. some of it, anyway. You’ll read it and say, oh! You’ll be surprised how I see it, or maybe it will make sense.”

“Well I think about this all the time. I have tried to figure it out for years. Haven’t you thought about this, P? Why did it happen this way? What was God thinking to separate us like he did?”

The soldier is deeply religious.

“Okay, so what do you come up with?”

“Well, the things I do… hardly anyone can do them. I mean, people just can’t do the things I can.”

“I know. That’s true for sure. And actually feel the same about what I do.”

“I know you do. And we’ve helped a lot of people. Lots of them. Both of us have spent our entire lives helping people. That’s pretty much all we’ve ever done, isn’t it? Our whole lives have been spent helping people.”

“Yep.”

“Yep. we’ve done a lot of shit, P. Both of us have. So I don’t know. But I think this may be why we had to separate. Because when we were together, that’s all we did. Remember, P? When we were together we were just together all the time. Me and you. It was always, me and you, me and you, me and you. We never separated unless we absolutely had to and even then we waited until the last minute. Remember? Every minute either of us had, we spent it together…”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah. So we were so wrapped up with each other we didn’t do very much for other people.”

I was quiet.

“We did some stuff for other people, but not like we did after we separated. So do you think this is why? I think it may be. I think we both had stuff God wanted us to do and the only way we were going to do it is if he separated us, so that’s what he did.”

I was quiet. It’s not the kind of thing you can argue. But I thought it was cool, he thinks this LARGE and I felt humbled.

Do you ever look at the whole of your life and ask, “Why?”

  1. I hope I have a little time to make my life before I ask it. But I would do well to ask why now. “Why am I wasting my time?” I am avoiding it every day and it is breaking other people’s hearts.

  2. It is all that I have thought about for the past three years. I have thought about it and dissected it down into a fine powder. I have decided that sometimes life just grabs you and throws you out the window to see if you can and will rise to the occasion.

  3. I do. And I have been “thrown out the window” a couple times – usually by some internal choice I made – and forced to grow whether I wanted to or not. I spent 22 years married to an alcoholic who consumed and controlled my life, so I think I needed to be released in order to be the person I am today. He divorced me – I couldn’t do that to him – and I was forced out into the world on my own. In bringing mysself up from the depths, I have helped others gain the courage to stretch and grow them selves. If this hadn’t happened, I would probably still be under my ex’s thumb. I can’t really quantify all the “why’s” of my life just yet, but it’s getting clearer all the time.

  4. this post has a lot of meaning for me, it is something I am right in the middle of, thank you for putting it up here.

  5. This makes me cry… i can relate to it deeply. I do the same questioning every single day.

I think it has to do with experiences..we have to go through lots of them before we are prepared for some things. In a way having to wait for something if a blessing because when you finally get the thing…youll know how to keep it.

I also have Jupiter in Sag. 🙂
