The soldier and I sitting in a deserted parking lot, 5 in the morning…
“Yeah, Dora was messed up,” he said. “You can’t blame the vet (for thinking she was dying). She looks like hell – she’s messed up. When I got that dog, she had mange so bad. It was so bad, most people would kill a dog with mange that bad. And she had scars… scar tissue and tits hanging down. She’d had a litter of pups and she was just in really bad shape. Who knows what she’d been through in her life. She was malnourished, a street dog and people abuse dogs like that.”
“Well it’s not the first time I’ve been accused of abusing a dog…”
He told me the story of when he had two dogs who would get in fights with each other. He had to break them up and got cut himself. Then he’d have to take them to the vet and get them fixed up.
“They thought you were fighting them?”
“Why do people think bad things about us all the time? They do it to both of us all the time, it’s constant and continuous?”
“Because people do do bad things. P, people do bad things all the time.”
I sighed. “I’m hopelessly naive.”
“Yeah, you are.”
“Well you and I get blamed far more often than others.”
When people are looking for someone to blame to they look around and land on you…. or the person next to you? What is your Scorpio / 8th house / Pluto situation?
