Dealing With Difficult Transits

big waveI’ve had a second death in my family this week. I’m hoping the funerals are not on the same day, but they may be. And I will deal with that if necessary. I just found out this morning about the second death. After the initial shock I think I’m actually dealing better with both than I would have done with either singly. You know what they say, when it rains it pours. Sometimes pouring rain is just what you need to actually act and get out of the wet.

In a consultation today I mentioned a metaphor to use in dealing with difficult transits: surfing the big, destructive wave. You can either get on top of the wave and ride it or you can wait for it to WHOP you on the shore. Sure you might fall and get hurt, but you can get back up on it and keep trying (metaphorically speaking, I have no concept of actual surfing). You keep getting back onto the wave because that’s where you’re going to find your joy and your growth. Standing on the shore and waiting for the inevitable blast is one option but it doesn’t seem like the good one.

That’s really the best reason to find out what astrological energy is behind whatever you’re going through. It’s the quickest way to figure out what wave you’re supposed to be riding and what kind of board you need.

What’s your most challenging aspect right now?

  1. Jesus, Satori. You really are getting tsunami’d. I wish you strength. It sounds Plutonian to say the least. I am sorry for your losses.

Current challenging aspect: transiting Rx Pluto exact on Sun.

  2. My sincere condolences, Satori, to you and your family.

Most challenging aspect – tr Neptoon sitting on natal Neptoon I’d have to say. Hard to focus on the here and now.

  3. I’m a Gemini so Neptune in Pisces (starting in February) will square my Sun in Gemini.

Talk about a test of faith!

  4. I don’t even know anymore. I was devastated yesterday, and am feeling too calm again, right now. I didn’t want to get out of bed, but I had to eventually. my dog got tired of waiting for me, came back every so often, but otherwise abandoned me for those up and upset.

Saturn in the 12th, square saturn, moving to oppose more Aries planets soon, including my Chiron/Sun. Everything hitting my cardinal T-square of jupiter, pluto and saturn. Pluto conjunct my sister’s sun (I’m not used to seeing her so upset and confused). pluto hitting that t-square from my 3rd. chiron conjunct mars in 4th, squaring moon/venus/nodes, trine uranus/asc. neptune square moon. take your pick.

Sorry for the long comment, and so sorry to hear your news. 🙁

  5. tPluto conjunct my Uranus, soon to be conjunct my Saturn and Neptune.
    tUranus square Uranus
    tUranus square Mars
    tSaturn square Saturn

    As of now. 🙂

  6. (((((Satori))))), and my sincerest condolences.

I’d have to get an updated reading from you, in order to know which exact transits I’m dealing with at the mo, all I know is; it’s oppressive — but at least everyone around me is alive and well. Gotta count our blessings…

  7. Condoleances Satori! sorry for your loss!

l guess the Saturn Pluto conjunction but Saturn is moving away slowly and the Jupiter Uranus opposition. l don’t think they are really that bad, l had worse….

  8. I’m sorry for your loss, Satori.
My most precarious aspect at the moment is the opposing nodes, all squaring my Pluto, Uranus, Mars and Chiron. I’m being dragged in opposite directions. Since I can only go one way, I’ll have to choose carefully. Pluto is strafing my stellium in Capricorn and that includes my Sun. I can change or drop dead. Fortunately, I was already eager to change, since there was not much in my life to hold onto. Any structures worth destroying were wiped out when Pluto was transiting my Venus/PF/Mercury in Sag. Pluto entering Capricorn found nothing but smoldering ruins to ravage. Life may be a bit intense at the moment, some people want me dead, but I can live with that. Big deal.

There’s also a T-square of T-Mars, T-Saturn, T-Juno And my stellium in Capricorn. Yes, my relationships suck and I’m getting sued for preventing murder. Let’s see them make that stick.

  9. So sorry Satori, hope it eases soon

Gnarly here, trans Uranus conj Sun sq trans Pluto, Fogged out by trans Nep sq Asc. Whistling

  10. argh… what I also wanted to say is Thank You for offering us a way to deal & cope with all that’s going down at the moment. I am trying to ride…

  11. Lots of love to you satori <3. Beautiful post and I love the picture with this post. I have always loved that particular artwork.
