Checking In

zodiac broachHey, I just want check in to let people know I’m okay.  My surgery is still a month away. I won’t be able to drive once it’s done; I’m not sure for how long. I’m trying to get things done ahead. I was suppose to have this surgery the first week of June so it’s sort of turned upside down and inside out!

I feel good. It’s just also garden season and specifically, it’s garden harvest season. I am running around dropping produce off for friends and neighbors. It’s really my favorite time of the year.

I am also doing a lot of consulting, happily. This is good because it pays the bills!  But there is a lot of scrambling going on.  For example, today is my third of five doctor appointments, I’ve got to knock out before surgery.

Nothing is wrong. It’s stuff like mammogram and see the rheumatologist, routine primary care doc, I will have to pre-certify at the hospital.. teeth cleaning, blah blah. So everything is good and slowly getting checked off but it is a lot of juggling which does not leave head space for a lot of creative writing.

I have been able to keep up my newsletter and will be posting more to the blog as soon as possible. I just want everyone to know, everything is all right.  In fact, this are going very well, pretty much in every regard. So I am here. I’m just stuffing peppers and making zucchini bread and of course, seeing doctors!
