Bitchy Persona

It occurs to me the whole bitch persona is going out of vogue. Do you know what I’m talking about? I mean that anti-social, snob, critical, condescending air that some put on?

You’re going to really need talent to pull that off in these (soon to come) days. In fact, I don’t think it will be able to pull off without making some modifications because we’re all so saturated with it.

This seems a strange thing to write with Venus in Scorpio which many consider to be a bitch but you know what? Venus in Scorpio can heal the lover, Venus in Scorpio hates veneer and this is what I’m talking about.

What do you think about this?

Bitchy Persona — 29 Comments

  1. I’ve rarely had a bitchy persona, and I rarely enjoy it. It’s never been in vogue for me. It has come out of me as a defense mechanism, when I’ve had enough, but I don’t like the feeling, and don’t like being around it for too long.

  2. For me, at times i can be anti-social and it sounds great to be able to look at myself and my defense mechanisms and utilize venus in scorpio to heal the lover and relinquish the protective disguise.

Elsa, I like your bluntness, it’s real!

  3. Reminds me of the whole ‘Paris Hilton’ persona. I don’t know if she really is a snob or not because the media can twist things around or the public can be quite judgemental to people who are famous. But she always had that ‘snob’ persona. I’m sure it was only a persona though!

  4. Solaire, it’s both. Pluto in Capricorn is deadly serious. Wispy stuff just doesn’t cut it and eventually people will run out of patience.

I don’t really exist without astrology. I have been at this since I was 8 years old, it’s embedded.

    • See I don’t mind, Paris Hilton. It’s the fake, Paris Hiltons that drive me around the bend. Like in the old days we had a “Valley Girl” persona. Now we have women who act like fussy gay men or some hybrid of some kind. Whatever it is, it’s false. If you’re an actual persnickety gay man, that’s fine. But adopting that persona / any persona is just not going to work well because the climate for this has passed.

  5. Elsa,

I hope you are correct as I live in the land of the “Now adult valley girls”. I do not subscribe and never have, but let’s hope they have a change of perspective.

    “Oh my god!”

  6. See, if you question whether the media twisted things and made Paris Hilton out to be a bitch when she was not, then you’ve obviously never watched the videos taken of her during the early years BEFORE she hit her PR pinnacle. She was seen over and over making fun of other women, called two afroamerican males the “N” word, acted the diva. And there are enough witnesses who corroborated those videos. She is not a nice person, never has been. I highly suspect any article or show that tries to make her out to be a NICE person is doing the old PR spin. And yes, I do mind her.

  7. “Venus in Scorpio can heal the lover and hates veneer…”

This is totally going on in my world. Being healed and being stripped of veneer. Feels good and scary.

  8. This is why I can’t watch the Real Housewives reality shows. Are people really like this?? I can’t stand the bitchy, entitled persona. It’s exhausting, even if it is staged.

  9. Rachel, I thought of some of them when I was writing this and we can thank them because they contributed to the saturation we’re now experiencing. 🙂

  10. Paris Hilton IS a socialite so anti-social wouldn’t really apply because her job is to be social. She might be considered snobby and critical, remember the whole Lindsay Lohan fire crotch debacle? As a sometimes red-head I was kinda pissed that no one gave her more crap about that… Whateve… I feel as I might be as you described anti-social, and when I am social, I find that I am usually condescending in that I constantly have to educate people or clear the air because they are so off base, sometimes I do a complete 180 from what I actually think because people are just sooo SURE in their opinions, this is my Aqua mars and it makes me able to debate pretty much anything on either side of the issue. I am sure tho most people see my Aries moon, the fact that Pluto rules my chart doesn’t help. People usually think I am a bitch. Maybe I am maybe I am not, I am anti-social so eff off! But deep down I wish people would think I am interesting, funny, and likable…

  11. You are interesting, JB, and I mean that sincerely. It’s just for some of us, when you tell us to fuck off, we take you seriously. 🙂

    This is called Capricorn.

  12. 🙂 that’s very nice of you too say Elsa. Being anti-social in some weird way let’s me do the things I want to do, which is actually social, like being online blogging with you all.. 🙂 Capricorn merc in the third for me (it is retro so I don’t know if that makes it any worse) and a whole other slew of cap planets their make it hard to be socially graceful. The only thing I have in libra is Juno, which makes sense because the only person I am “nice” to is my husband. I feel fake, being nice to people… I feel like they can see right through me. Seriously.

  13. It’s hard when I can’t really tell if it’s a persona or it’s real because there are some very bitchy women at work and I’m not entirely sure it’s a facade…

are there astrological combinations that are more prone to this if they are being negative? I’m thinking maybe someone with Venus in Taurus being a genuine snob with some Leo diva antics or some sign that thinks or knows they really ARE better and will show it, not a persona. Do we just accept that they are bitches and not fake?

  14. Crap, bitch was vogue? I didn’t know that. You mean I took all that and it was just a trend. Well, it definitely made me not wanna be like that, so it was good for something.
