Astrologer Of Last Resort

libra scalesMercury retrograde squaring Pluto retrograde has been terrifically difficult for many. I loathe getting into this, or rather the wee bit of Libra in my chart, resists. None of it is “nice” so be warned.

I have a packed 8th house. My husband has a Scorpio moon and Mars Saturn.  We find ourselves dealing with trauma and difficult situations of all kinds. Some of these things as astonishingly repulsive.  Brace yourself if you’re going to continue reading…

On Friday, one of the men my husband works with cut the top of his head off in a machine.  He spoke one word and then hit the floor. My husband cross-trained as a medic when he was in Special Forces. He was able to react quickly and duct tape absorbent pads to the top of this guy’s head while he applying pressure.

Meantime I took crisis phone calls from clients all weekend. I finished the last call on Sunday around dinnertime.  It was for a client / friend I’ve known a dozen years.  She has four planets in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Pisces! She’s usually fine.

Sagittarius is a seeker. Higher mind. Energy schools of thought and angels!  But when she finds herself dangling from a cliff hanging on by her fingernails, I’m the gal to call.

“I’m your trauma astrologer,” I said. “I am your astrologer of last resort!  We got a big laugh out of this. It’s obvious!

I don’t mind being the last person you call. People like my husband and I are needed in this world.

I don’t think that man in the machine shop would have fared as well as he did had my husband not been there. The accident was too shocking. It was the same with a number of clients I spoke with this weekend.

Sometimes, I really don’t like the way I am. But then I realize if I were different, I could not do what I do. Trauma nurse, basically.  For the soul and the psyche.

  1. You are wonderful, Elsa! I followed your reluctance to say things that might upset people. It seemed to me that you are battling your conviction that informing is forewarning, and therefore holding off from acting on that obvious fact. Thank you so much for giving your conviction its proper right of way.

  2. @Elsa After reading your book “Circle K” I could see better how you handle all this. You survived all of THAT! Bless you!

  3. Elsa, you have advised and helped me “see” situations/others more clearly and from a different perspective many times, saving my pocketbook and my sanity. Thank you for doing what you do!!!!

    • You’re welcome! I just want people who are dangling to hold on! There are people out there who can relate and help you and I’m one of them.

  4. Wow. Something is going on with head trauma. My husband’s collegue died of an aneurysm on the job last week. He was literally just in his office 15 minutes prior. Completely devastated the people around him. He was only 30 years old, 3 kids under 7 years old and his wife is 7 months pregnant.

  5. Tough Mercury square Pluto influence in my inner circle this weekend: news of a house fire; death of an extended family member.

  6. Is the coworker ok? Head severances and eyes injuries are something I can’t think without a sunken heart and a punch in the gut. For the other part I’ll just say- has anyone seen a depressed Saggitarius? It’s hard to see it. It’s always on the back of my mind. Their low points are something that quietly scare me. And I’m a saturnian.

  7. Crazy here, not sure why adults and children?fighting? I sidestep much
Others I work with say chaos is too visible? What is it?
